Jia Xiu had always been preoccupied with Fairy Runes.
On one hand, the Sect Master had assigned a related task long ago. On the other, the Magic-Energy Computer needed a rapid detection method, and he was still hoping to rely on fairy spells.
The little pixie sent by the fairies had already provided the special method they used to detect magic power.
Initial performance tests had been excellent. It was indeed much faster than the methods commonly used by humans.
But exactly how fast it was, whether it could be further improved, and how it could be integrated with the entire system all required further research. The current results could only be called barely satisfactory.
If there truly was no other option, it would do in a pinch, but it still fell short of Jia Xiu's ideal result.
He did not expect the Magic-Energy Computer to start out performing hundreds of millions, or even billions, of calculations per second. His target was merely tens of thousands per second. If it could reach one hundred thousand, that would be even better.
But with the current results, ten thousand operations per second was a hurdle, and there was no great confidence they could clear it. Rapid magic-power detection was meant to be used in registers, and registers were common components. If this part failed, it would inevitably drag down the performance of the entire machine.
And that little pixie was not particularly specialized in this area either. She could only be said to know how to use it, far from mastering it.
The other fairies said their entertainment had ended and they were preparing to join the project team, but their specialties did not quite match this field either, and their enthusiasm for work was not particularly high.
