The banquet had lasted until dawn. Those fairies were truly Energetic, battling at the card tables until daybreak. Literal daybreak—the sun had even risen. For some reason, Jia Xiu felt the same drained weakness he used to feel after pulling an all-nighter at an internet café. Clearly, he no longer needed sleep, yet the sunlight still felt painfully glaring.
But farming newbies really was fun. He could understand why people shouted that farming newbies was immoral, yet became overjoyed the moment they themselves got the chance to do it. It could not be helped. It really was fun.
By the latter half of the night, Jia Xiu stopped pretending and no longer fed the other fairies cards. He won wildly for half the night. The total amount was not much, after all—this was a welcome banquet, not a chance to fleece suckers—but money won simply felt different.
