Had his brain short-circuited? Why had he obediently hidden inside the box like that?

Benjamin realized that he seemed to be getting a little out of it too.

What a joke—he could not actually go onstage and perform. And since he was already planning to run away, why was he being so cooperative here?

He had been so stunned by discovering this gathering place for mages that his mind had wandered all over the place, and he had completely forgotten about that.

He had already found the theater's mages. There was no point in staying here any longer. He certainly did not intend to suddenly leap out of the box, grab Henry, and shout, "My fellow countryman, I'm a mage too!" before all thirty-some mages backstage burst into tears in each other's arms.

The curiosity that had initially driven him to court death was gradually fading as well.

Benjamin began planning how to slip out of the theater.

First, he used the Water Element Sensing Method to sense the situation outside the box. Henry was still standing beside it, face-to-face with someone who looked like a magician but was actually a mage, discussing something with great enthusiasm.

Fine, he could not get out of the box for now. He would wait until Henry moved farther away.

Although he still did not know when the performance would begin, judging by the atmosphere backstage, there should still be several dozen minutes left. The "the show is about to begin" that the man in the suit and Dick had been shouting earlier probably meant the same thing as the "I'll be there soon" in "I'm almost there."
