History

Hiruzen attends the Ninja Academy entrance ceremony and gives a speech on the Will of Fire and Konoha’s founding 3. After two members of Mori Takuma’s Team 12 are killed on a mission, he receives the survivors’ report, returns Takuma’s cleaned forehead protector, and urges him to remember his teammates 11.

Aoba Yamashiro’s report of Takuma’s unusually rapid healing leads Hiruzen to examine the Senju clan registry 14. When Takuma later brings him a map recovered from enemy scouts, Hiruzen identifies three marked locations as classified sensory barrier nodes. He assigns the follow-up investigation to Anbu and gives Takuma a haori that masks his chakra signature 17.

Hiruzen intervenes when Danzo brings Takuma to a Root facility, stating that Takuma is not under Danzo’s jurisdiction 19. He subsequently warns Takuma that his Senju ancestry will attract scrutiny and promises to handle Danzo, while urging Takuma to become strong enough to protect others 20.
