Background / History
Gu Qinghe is the foster daughter of Gu Changyue, the Hall Master of Tai Xuan Sect's Law Enforcement Hall. Six years before the main investigation, her sword broke while she investigated accountant Zhou Huai's apparent fall from a West Mountain cliff; the weapon was subsequently sealed in the Law Enforcement Peak Armory. 40
She later discovered that Zhou Huai had died and concealed this fact while secretly pursuing the circumstances surrounding his death. Her concealed investigation led her to retain Zhou Huai's identity tag and periodically inspect his abandoned residence. 33 34
When Zhao Chong escaped from Cell No. 15, Gu Qinghe returned from West Mountain with a blood-stained half-token that carried an aura matching Gu Changyue's Law Enforcement Token. Although the evidence implicated her foster father, she personally requested that his authority, residence, and case files be sealed so the investigation could proceed without doubt. Qi Shouxuan subsequently placed her in charge of the West Mountain lead. 15 16
Personality
Gu Qinghe is disciplined, decisive, and strongly committed to evidentiary procedure. Even when Gu Changyue became a suspect, she prioritized an impartial investigation over protecting her foster father, reasoning that any attempt to recuse herself on his behalf would undermine the case. 16
She is also pragmatic under pressure. During the North Mountain investigation, she rapidly divided personnel among possible escape routes, sealed off crime scenes, and coordinated searches while responding to forged orders and hostile cultivators. 19 20
Her adherence to procedure extends to herself: when evidence was planted to frame her for Fang Shao's assassination attempt, she surrendered her token, sword, and storage bag and entered the Quiet Room rather than allow the evidence gathered in the West Mountain case to be dismissed as personal retaliation. 40
Appearance
Gu Qinghe is a sword-riding Law Enforcement cultivator who carries a personal sword, Law Enforcement Token, and later a Sealing Chain while conducting investigations and arrests. 19 40 52
- Returned from West Mountain with mountain mud on her robes after pursuing a masked cultivator. 16
- Her old sword bore a distinct Law Enforcement Peak spiritual signature and had been broken into three pieces six years earlier. 40
- Uses a toxin-filtering mask when entering hazardous passages. 17
Abilities & Skills
Investigation and Evidence Analysis
Gu Qinghe is an experienced investigator familiar with Law Enforcement Hall records, token formations, prison procedures, and sect administrative systems.
- Identified the functional limitations of the forged half-token and linked its casting serial number to the Ding-Character Furnace. 16
- Used her knowledge of prison and morgue records to help establish that Zhao Chong had been switched with the corpse of Ma Quan. 18
- Preserved sensitive witness testimony in three separately sealed copies and restricted access to prevent leaks. 28

Command and Tactical Planning
Gu Qinghe directs Law Enforcement personnel during dangerous operations and adjusts plans when evidence indicates a trap.
- Ordered Gu Changyue's authority suspended and his Law Enforcement Tokens, residence, and case files sealed. 16
- Divided her team among three possible exits from the North Mountain well and led the search for the hidden medicine cellar. 20
- Coordinated the rescue of Sun Erhe's family from Ding Sancang and captured five kidnappers. 25
- Used controlled misinformation about a sealed warehouse ledger to lure out an internal mole. 26

- Flew Li Sanshun to North Mountain after discovering the herb-garden fire order had been altered. 19
- Fought masked cultivators during the attack on the North Mountain herb cellar and refused to yield to their threats. 22
- Worked with Gu Changyue to disarm Xu Zhenchuan by binding his blade with her Sealing Chain. 53
Sealing Chain
Gu Qinghe employs a Sealing Chain to restrain opponents and control their movements.
- Used it to block Bai Chongshan's escape during the confrontation outside Weapon-Storing Cliff. 52
- Bound Xu Zhenchuan's blade and later locked his arms after his attempted escape from Law Enforcement Peak. 53

West Mountain and Ding-Character Furnace Investigation
After revealing Zhou Huai's death to Li Sanshun, Gu Qinghe searches his residence and follows the hidden trail to the West Mountain Old Mine. She uncovers evidence that Gu Changyue did not requisition the Blood-Vein Black Iron and that his seal had been exploited. 33 34 35
At the Ding-Character Furnace, she retrieves evidence of fifteen counterfeit tokens forged from the blood of missing imperial infants. The resulting ledger, shipment documents, control token, and witness testimony clear Gu Changyue of the six-year-old black-iron theft case. 37 38
Frame-Up and Law Enforcement Hall Conflict
When Fang Shao dies during a failed attempt on Zhao Chong, a fragment of Gu Qinghe's old sword and a genuine talisman bearing her seal are found on his body. She enters the Quiet Room under the Law Enforcement Hall's rules while Li Sanshun and Zhao Rui investigate the Armory theft that produced the planted fragment. 40
She later confronts Xu Zhenchuan's attempted takeover of Law Enforcement Hall, brings protected evidence to the Judgment Platform, and helps expose his forged orders. 48 53
Bai Chongshan's Capture and Zhao Chong's Trail

- She sealed testimony from the Old Infant Case in triplicate, retaining one copy personally and sending another to the Second Elder rather than Yan Song. 28
