History

World Calamity and territorial change

After the world became enveloped by the class-changing system, natural disasters and Secret Realm rifts radically expanded the landmass. Shattered Secret Realms deposited their terrain into the real world; notably, a monster-filled forest emerged between Yundong City and Xiangyun City, disrupting former air and rail routes. 57

The Ten Thousand Demons Cavern became the Dragon Kingdom's foremost existential threat. Located on the border with Russia, the Calamity-class forbidden zone had previously destroyed the Steppe Kingdom in a single day. 97 During an early invasion, demon forces reached the Dragon Kingdom's border gates, but several exceptional geniuses helped halt the advance. Over the following eight years, the Kingdom's forces gradually drove the Ten Thousand Demons Race back. 823

Demonfall crisis

Demonfall originated within the Dragon Kingdom as an extremist cult that worshipped the Otherworldly Demon Race and called its members “noble descendants of demons.” The Kingdom immediately suppressed the group when it first emerged. 208

Years later, Demonfall operatives who had fused with demon blood coordinated the descent of hundreds of shattered monster Secret Realms across major cities and smaller settlements. The resulting invasions killed countless civilians and became one of the darkest periods in Dragon Kingdom history; a subsequent national purge forced Demonfall into temporary concealment. 155 208

Government and Security

• The Dragon Lord stands above the Kingdom's Ten Divine Generals; the generals answer only to the Dragon Lord and hold the highest authority beneath them. 824

The Ten Divine Generals are the Kingdom's foremost military foundation. Each is a peak expert above Level 190 and can contend with figures such as the Corrupt Witch. 824

Following the victory of the Demon Extermination campaign, the Ten Thousand Demons Cavern's threat was ended and reconstruction of the Ten Thousand Demons Fortress began. Ling Zhan subsequently resigned as a Dragon Kingdom general and as the Legion's instructor. 1006

Divine Beasts and Dragon Lore

The Dragon Kingdom is closely associated with powerful divine beasts. Its Four Sacred Divine Beasts are consistently regarded as guaranteed top-ten contenders on global divine-beast rankings. 340

• Azure Dragon Clan — led by Meng Zhang, the Azure Dragon and bearer of the world title Thunder Emperor. Meng Zhang is Level 197 and is among the Kingdom's highest-level known divine beasts. 664 935
