"Qing, what are you doing?"

After finishing his conversation with Qing Luo, Mountain Ghost Luo emerged from the woods. Seeing Yu Chen holding a lingzhi herb and murmuring the name he had just mentioned, he stared at it with curiosity.

"This thing... why does it look like..."

"An elixir of immortality!"

Qing Luo named it, then denied his own guess. "No. Its aura may be pure, but it probably does not qualify as an elixir of immortality. The pure deathly intent contained within it dooms it to being unusable more than once."

"You saw through it?"

Yu Chen looked at Qing Luo, laughter in his eyes. In truth, he had noticed Mountain Ghost Luo and Qing Luo the moment they emerged from the woods. He had deliberately not put away the lingzhi herb and continued pondering on his own, wanting to see how the two would react.

Unlike the worldly Qing Luo, Mountain Ghost Luo, who spent most of his time in the mountains and forests, curiously studied the lingzhi herb in Yu Chen's hand.

As one of the wielders of the earth's divine power, Mountain Ghost Luo easily perceived the herb's essence. He asked curiously, "An elixir of immortality? The legendary thing that lets people live forever without dying? But the thing in Qing's hand is merely an herb condensed with the earth's divine power. At most, it can let ordinary people live a while longer. How did it become an elixir of immortality?"

Qing Luo shook his head and tapped Mountain Ghost Luo on the forehead. "The kind of elixir of immortality you mean may have existed in ancient times, but now it has all but vanished from the world. Most immortal elixirs passed down today are spiritual medicines that can be taken repeatedly, continually extending one's lifespan.
