The immortal Dao's lineage in the main world had three sources.

First was Purple Palace Isle, residence of the Duke of the East, foremost among male immortals and root of the pure yang of heaven and earth. It was also the only surviving sacred land of the immortal Dao today, and the source of the Three Islands and Ten Continents.

Above it stood Mount Shouyang, abode of the Supreme Dao Ancestor—the root of all Daos, predecessor of all saints, and source of spirituality. During the era of the Human Sovereign Xuanyuan, this mountain had been hollowed out. Its spiritual mechanisms and destiny were mixed with the red copper within the mountain and forged into the Humanity Sacred Sword, which likewise suppressed the destiny of humankind.

Highest of all was Kunlun, abode of the Primordial Dao Ancestor—the god above gods, immortal above immortals, and source of primal qi. On this mountain's western side was also the dojo of the Queen Mother of the West, foremost among female immortals and foundation of the utmost yin of heaven and earth. It was the most exalted and noble land in the immortal Dao's lineage.

Yet this mountain had vanished into concealment as early as the era of the Three Sovereigns, seldom heard of thereafter. Only the mountain range's roots remained, upon which the Heavenly Emperor had placed nine layers of seals and assigned the divine beast Lu Wu to guard.

But in truth, both the information Xuanqing True Person had brought back after seeking Kunlun and the young man Yu Chen had encountered indicated that the true Mount Kunlun was likely not on the same plane as the Kunlun guarded by Lu Wu.
