Conflict with Hidden Dragon Martial Hall

Mighty Far Hall previously supplied martial artists to Wang's Ginseng Shop and looked down on the business. When Wang Shouyi dismissed Liu Xiaolou to hire Lu Chen, Liu led fellow disciples to Hidden Dragon Martial Hall and demanded a duel for the appointment. 16 18

Liu Xiaolou used Iron Thread Grappling Hand but was defeated by Lu Chen, suffering several broken ribs. The visiting Mighty Far Hall disciples withdrew after losing face. 19 20

Scarlet-Blood Deer Hunt

Du Jincheng led Mighty Far Hall disciples into Scarlet Cloud Mountain to obtain exotic-beast essence blood for junior brothers preparing for the Martial Examination. The group used weapons and specialized iron chains to surround the Scarlet-Blood Deer. 70

Lu Chen secretly killed several Thousand Crane Martial Hall disciples, then altered the corpses with Iron Thread Grappling Hand so the killings would be blamed on Mighty Far Hall. Thousand Crane Martial Hall found the bodies, concluded that Mighty Far Hall had ambushed its disciples, and launched a retaliatory attack. 69 70

Du Jincheng denied responsibility, but the two martial halls fought over the deer amid their existing feud over territory, disciples, and business. Both halls ultimately suffered serious losses and failed to secure the beast. 72 75

Martial Examination

Mighty Far Hall concealed Li Huchen until the Martial Examination, intending for his Heaven-Born Tiger Bones physique to make a decisive debut against its rivals. 80 85

Li Huchen displayed extraordinary strength by fully drawing—and breaking—a fifty-stone bow. He later killed Shi Hao in the Skill Trial and reached the final against Lu Chen. 85 87

In the championship bout, Li Huchen's Tiger Roar Divine Fist initially overwhelmed Lu Chen. Lu Chen countered with Iron Thread Grappling Hand, Interception Force, and Great Strength Vajra Palm before killing Li with the Azure Dragon Heart-Shattering Strike. 88 89 91

“Hidden True Disciple” Claim

After Li Huchen's death, Mighty Far Hall publicly declared Lu Chen to be Zhao Xuanfeng's hidden true-transmission disciple. The claim recast Lu Chen's use of Iron Thread Grappling Hand as legitimate and characterized Li's death as an ordinary dispute between fellow disciples. 93

Du Jincheng subsequently visited Lu Chen with one thousand taels of silver, medicinal herbs, healing pills, and martial-arts manuals. He offered reconciliation and access to the hall's techniques, including Tiger Roar Divine Fist, in exchange for Lu Chen acknowledging the hidden-disciple identity. 94

Lu Chen refused formal affiliation but did not publicly deny the rumor. Mighty Far Hall accepted this compromise and maintained that it would not pursue Li Huchen's death. 94
