This pure outburst of power was simply unbelievable.
Thinking back to the scene when Jiraiya had demonstrated the Rasengan, Su Bai could not help falling into deep thought.
Though the Rasengan was immensely powerful, it required chakra to be condensed into a spinning sphere of energy.
One Bone, on the other hand, seemed far more straightforward. With just an instantaneous burst, it could inflict such devastating damage.
"This skill may be even more practical than I imagined."
Su Bai muttered to himself, a flash of excitement crossing his eyes.
"The next time I run into Gaara's sand sphere defense, I won't need to trouble Sasuke."
After the excitement faded, Su Bai began assessing his own strength again.
"This is still far from enough to deal with Pain."
He murmured, "I have to keep getting stronger."
Scenes from the original story surfaced in his mind, and his gaze gradually sharpened.
"Next comes the battle among Konoha's Three Sannin," he thought to himself. "That will be an excellent opportunity to absorb experience. Three legendary ninja clashing in the same place will surely result in an astonishing battle."
The corners of Su Bai's lips lifted slightly, anticipation flickering in his eyes.
Suddenly, a crucial detail flashed through Su Bai's mind.
His eyes snapped open. "Right. In the original story, Jiraiya will be drugged by Tsunade, making it difficult for him to use chakra. That puts him roughly on par with Orochimaru, whose hands are unusable. But..."
Concern flashed through Su Bai's eyes before they quickly returned to calm.
He rose to his feet and began pacing back and forth, considering this new possibility.
"Orochimaru injured his hands and can't use ninjutsu, so his strength has dropped sharply..."
Su Bai muttered, an unusual light gleaming in his eyes.
"This may be a rare opportunity."
