Background / History

According to Nuwa, the Immortal King of the present is not the same individual who ruled ten thousand years earlier. The original consciousness—identified as that of an ordinary High-God named Zhang Lu before his rise—was sealed within the body during the ancient conflict. 1156

He established and maintained the Gods of All Heavens’ Order of the Heavens across the Three Realms and Six Paths. His authority rests on overwhelming personal combat power, Divine Artifacts, and the refinement and distribution of Origin Power Pills. 925

When resistance and the Dark Prosperity Organization destabilized the Gods’ control of the Desire Realm, rival god factions repeatedly sought to impeach him. He retained his position through his personal strength, political pressure, and a prolonged struggle alongside the Lingdu Mountain faction. 925 926 994

The Immortal King covertly sought control of the Fu Xi Talisman, arranging the Secret Realm expedition so that his own faction could enter separately and seize the artifact before other factions discovered his intentions. The operation ended disastrously when 72 Tier C Lords, four Grade B Lords, and the Grade A Soul Gathering God perished at Star 876. 1016 1047

After eventually acquiring the Fu Xi Talisman, he used it to suppress Old Xuan, Luo Bingxin, and the Four Great Corpse Kings. He later accepted Lin Yi’s apparent allegiance, granting him considerable authority while using him to eliminate hostile divine factions. 1159 1160 1167 1313

Appearance

The Immortal King is described as refined and approachable when his Divine Power is restrained, yet his presence alone produces immense pressure. A manifested Divine Power clone appeared as a middle-aged man. 901 1141

  • Clear eyes and an imposing bearing. 901
  • Usually conceals his Divine Power rather than displaying it openly. 901
  • His gaze can make opponents feel completely seen through. 1194
  • Resides on mist-shrouded Immortal King Star, where the palace’s buildings shift positions and important sites are hidden by white fog. 1193

Personality

The Immortal King is patient, calculating, and highly controlling. He frequently uses chess to explain his worldview: apparent losses and dead ends are acceptable if they create a larger strategic advantage. 995 1096

He presents himself as gentle and composed when it benefits him, tolerating factional disobedience when a direct purge would cost too many loyal followers. Behind that restraint, he treats allies, subordinates, and opponents as expendable pieces in a larger plan. 925 1111 1166

His composure can break when his authority or resources suffer a major blow. Upon learning that his expedition to Star 876 had been annihilated, he released enough Divine Power to erase nearby guards along with their souls and origin laws. 1047

He considers Lin Yi’s growth especially dangerous. Although he repeatedly chooses to preserve Lin Yi for his usefulness, he also intends to eliminate him once his value has been exhausted. 1148 1155 1310

Abilities & Skills

Divine Power and Law Manipulation

The Immortal King possesses Grade A Divine Power, but his actual strength exceeds what ordinary Grade A High-Gods can be measured by. His command of Divine Power, Primordial energy, and laws is regarded as unparalleled within the Three Realms and Six Paths. 1142 1150

  • Combines the Infinite Law and Eternal Law to create an effect of infinite deceleration; the closer an opponent gets, the more their movement slows toward relative stillness. 1144
  • Can restrain an Elementalized body despite its immunity to conventional physical attacks. 1144
  • Produces Divine Power attacks that do not carry elemental damage, complicating conventional defenses. 1149
  • Releases pressure powerful enough to suppress powerful gods and force rival faction leaders into obedience. 906

Thought and Memory Reading

The Immortal King can perceive hidden thoughts and inspect memories.

  • He sees through a minor subordinate’s concealed opinion during a chess match. 995
  • He examines Lin Yi’s memories as proof of allegiance, learning of Lin Yi’s role in the Nine Nether Incident, his inheritance from Lin You, and his use of Sky-Piercing Brahma Sound. 1167
  • His presence makes Wu Zhiqi and the Great Sage feel exposed even while they are concealed within Lin Yi’s Sea of Consciousness. 1142

Divine Power Clones

The Immortal King can manifest Divine Power clones capable of acting independently in battle.

  • A clone manifests through the Dragon God Token given to Luo Bingxin. 1141
  • His clone can physically overwhelm Lin Yi and Zhan Li, anticipate their movements, and fight the Great Sage directly. 1147 1148 1153
  • The clone can use the Fu Xi Talisman to block spatial escape routes and suppress targets. 1159 1160
  • Even with the Fu Xi Talisman, the clone cannot casually defeat the Four Great Corpse Kings once they enter their later stages. 1162

Spatial and Divine Sword Attacks

The Immortal King employs difficult-to-detect attacks that can cross space without obvious Divine Power fluctuations.

  • Generates Flying Swords that vanish into space before striking their target. 1150
  • Marks Lin Yi with a red “kill” character before launching a powerful attack. 1148
  • Delivers attacks capable of instantly emptying Lin Yi’s Health Bar if not blocked by an invulnerability skill. 1149
  • Can cross dozens of meters in an instant without detectable Divine Power, Primordial, or Origin Power fluctuations. 1194

Heart-Devouring Gu

The Immortal King possesses the Heart-Devouring Gu, a method that can bypass Divine Power and Primordial defenses. 1098

  • Uses it against Lingming Ancient Buddha after exposing the limits of his defenses. 1098
  • Its ability to ignore conventional high-level protection makes it effective against targets who would otherwise dismiss mortal methods. 1098

Political Strategy

The Immortal King’s strategic ability is one of his defining strengths.

  • Assigns detailed tasks to hostile and allied factions in minutes, suppressing Odin and Zeus’s attempts to challenge him. 906
  • Uses the Four Great Corpse Kings and Dark Prosperity against one another to weaken both sides before intervening. 1106 1111
  • Allows stronger factions to retain selfish ambitions when confronting them directly would inflict unacceptable losses on his own side. 1166
  • Uses Lin Yi as his primary instrument to remove god factions that oppose his rule. 1313

Equipment / Weapons / Items

  • Nuwa Spirit — An ancient Divine Artifact obtained at considerable cost before the Immortal King secured the Fu Xi Talisman. 1162

  • Gods of All Heavens factions — His authority over Zeus, Odin, Lingdu Mountain, Olympus, and other factions is sustained through strength, resource distribution, intimidation, and calculated division. 906 925 1314
