Shadow Clone Technique? Summon a Hundred at Once

In truth, Kakashi Hatake had forgotten to mention the rules.

With the class assignments finished, the people who had studied together for a year were about to part ways. Sasuke Uchiha was the first to leave his seat and walk out of the classroom.

"Sasuke, wait for me." Sakura Haruno immediately followed after him.

"Naruto, let's go too," Tianming said.

"Okay."

The two of them left the classroom as well.

Once they were outside the Ninja Academy, the groups scattered, each class having a different meeting place.

By the time Tianming and Naruto arrived at Team 7's gathering spot, Sasuke Uchiha and Sakura Haruno were already there.

Sasuke had always been the cool type. He stood with his arms crossed, staring ahead, while Sakura Haruno, acting like a fangirl, kept sneaking glances at him.

As for Kakashi Hatake? He gave a yawn, then jumped down from a tree. "Everyone's here? Good. For Team 7's first assembly, all four of you get zero points!"

"Ah! Kakashi-sensei, are you joking?" Naruto's mouth fell open.

"Do I look like I'm joking?" Kakashi Hatake asked solemnly.

Naruto wanted to say, I can't even see your expression, but he kept quiet for fear of getting beaten up.

After lecturing Naruto, Kakashi Hatake turned his gaze toward Sasuke Uchiha. "I gave you all zero points. You're not convinced?"

"I'm not," Sasuke Uchiha said coldly.

"Oh?" Kakashi Hatake's tone turned teasing. "Why not?"

"Kakashi-sensei just said that after the class gathered, I was the first one to arrive. I wasn't late, so even if I'm being punished, I absolutely refuse to be lumped together with dead last."

Sasuke Uchiha was unusually talkative.

"I see. If that's what you think, then giving all of you zero points was absolutely the right call." Kakashi Hatake smacked his lips, then looked at Naruto and Tianming. "You two were late. Do you accept it?"

"I do, I do," Naruto hurriedly said.

"And you?" He was clearly asking Tianming.

"Kakashi-sensei has his own evaluation standards. If we failed, that's our problem—not the teacher's problem, nor the rules' problem," Tianming answered ambiguously.

"Qingchuan Tianming? Interesting." Kakashi Hatake was somewhat surprised. This kid was unexpectedly composed, and he spoke with such polish. The hidden meaning behind his answer was that Kakashi could give him zero points, but he still wanted another test.

"Enough nonsense. Let's begin." Kakashi Hatake straightened up and pulled a bell from his pants pocket.

"After being assigned to a class, you are true genin in every sense. As ninjas, you must act like ninjas. A class is a whole. On the road ahead, your squad members will be your companions and family. So because Naruto and Qingchuan Tianming were late, none of you passed!"

"Of course, I'm different from the other teachers. See the bell in my hand? Come at me together. As long as any one of you touches it, I'll let all of you pass!"

As soon as he finished speaking, the children were all somewhat shocked.

Tianming, however, remained quite calm. Kakashi's method was simply meant to explain the importance of teamwork.

"Kakashi-sensei, are there any restrictions?" Sasuke Uchiha suddenly asked.

"No restrictions on methods or ninjutsu," Kakashi Hatake said.

The instant he received permission, Sasuke Uchiha vanished from where he stood. In the blink of an eye, he appeared behind Kakashi Hatake and rapidly formed hand seals!

Great Fireball Technique!

Sasuke Uchiha exhaled fiercely, and a blazing fireball burst forth. Then he pulled out shuriken and threw them after it.

That string of attacks left Naruto completely stunned, while Sakura Haruno's eyes sparkled with stars.

It had to be said, Sasuke Uchiha was the very image of perseverance. His clan had been massacred in his childhood, yet he bore a blood-deep grudge and became the strongest among his peers. It was plain to see.

Tianming stood to the side, his expression indifferent.

Sasuke's Great Fireball Technique combined with shuriken looked ferocious, but it was actually not very effective.

"Still a little short." Kakashi Hatake walked out from behind a nearby tree.

At the place where he had been standing, there was only a charred log.

"Substitution Technique!" Sasuke Uchiha's emotions surged. He truly had underestimated him.

"You three, come at me too." Kakashi Hatake crooked a finger at them.

"Shadow Clone Technique!" Naruto wasted no time summoning three to five clones for a frontal assault.

Sakura Haruno provided support instead.

The battle ended quickly. Kakashi Hatake barely moved from his spot before dispersing Naruto's clones, pinning down the original body, and catching every one of Sakura Haruno's shuriken with one hand.

"Why didn't you make a move?" Kakashi Hatake looked at Tianming and asked.

Tianming scratched his head. "Because before entering the academy, I didn't know any ninjutsu. But now I do."

After saying that, Tianming rapidly formed hand seals. Chakra rushed through his body. "Shadow Clone Technique!"

Boom! Boom! Boom!

The next instant, the sounds of smoke erupting rang out. Dense clusters of clones instantly packed the forest.
