New Check-In Mission! Location: Land of Waves

"Impossible!" Sasuke Uchiha's eyes widened. He had expected there to be a gap between himself and Tianming, but he had never imagined it would be this great.

He had no ability to fight back at all.

"Why are you so strong?" Sasuke Uchiha had also seen the gap between himself and Tianming. No, it was the gap between Tianming and ninjas of their generation.

That faint sense of pressure... he had only ever felt it from that man.

"Strong?" Tianming rubbed his chin. Before, in order to survive in the ninja world, he had racked his brains every day trying to train. Though he had remained unsuccessful and still couldn't sense chakra, his taijutsu had improved over time.

It was probably the result of accumulation.

"Shall we stop here?" Tianming suggested.

"It's far from over." Sasuke Uchiha shook his head and swiftly formed hand seals. "Shadow Clone Technique."

In the next instant, two of Sasuke's shadow clones appeared not far behind Tianming. Without a word, they unleashed a barrage of shuriken.

Tianming stomped his foot, releasing the chakra within his body and directly blocking the shuriken outside.

"Great Fireball Technique!" Sasuke Uchiha, standing in front of him, exhaled in one breath as a scorching fireball charged straight at Tianming.

Sasuke Uchiha's combination attack was still quite impressive,

but it was useless.

"Lightning Cutter." Tianming extended his hand, changing his fist into a palm. Lightning gathered in his palm before slicing out in an instant!

The Great Fireball rushing at his face was split cleanly in two and flew into the air.

The remaining lightning surrounded Sasuke Uchiha's body in an instant.

In the end, Sasuke Uchiha stopped attacking, because there was little point in continuing.

The lightning had already surrounded him. If Tianming wanted to, he could electrocute him at any moment.

"Let's stop here," Sasuke Uchiha said flatly. "I'll admit that you're stronger than that dead last. Becoming teammates with someone like you shouldn't be a bad thing."

After saying that, Sasuke Uchiha turned and left.

Tianming watched Sasuke's retreating back, truly not knowing what to say. That guy really did possess all the qualities needed to become strong.

In an alley nearby, Kameda and his little followers had witnessed the battle between the two.

At that moment, Kameda felt incredibly lucky that he had listened to the advice.

Going straight at those two monsters would have been throwing their lives away!

"Brother Kameda, are we still going to take revenge?"

Kameda's large face twitched, but to maintain his image as the boss, he still gave a cold snort. "Let them be arrogant for a while longer. Sooner or later, I'll make them beg for mercy!"

After joining Team 7, Tianming's life became much more eventful. Kakashi Hatake's teaching was quite relaxed. As long as they completed their quotas, he would not even care what they did.

During the half month since the team had been formed, Kakashi Hatake had led the four of them all around Konoha Village.

They had also taken on quite a few missions.

The missions, however, were rather frustrating. They were nothing more than digging fields, planting crops, chopping firewood, and finding dogs.

More than a month passed like this. At Team 7's gathering spot by a small river outside Konoha Village...

"Kakashi-sensei, what kind of mission requires such a huge fuss today?" Naruto Uzumaki's complaining voice rang out from far away.

Although Sakura Haruno said nothing, her little face was equally puzzled.

Sasuke Uchiha and Tianming followed behind without saying a word.

"Today's mission is a big one." Kakashi Hatake smiled. "Did you bring all your equipment?"

"We did," the four replied in unison.

"Good." Kakashi Hatake took out his backpack from beside him. "The mission location is the Konoha Office. I'll let you in on something—it's a C-rank mission."

"C-rank! Kakashi-sensei, you're not messing with us, are you?" Naruto Uzumaki asked in disbelief. For nearly a month, Kakashi Hatake had talked up the missions he assigned before they started, only to call them training for team coordination after they were completed.

Naruto Uzumaki's strong reaction this time was hardly strange. After all, C-rank missions were legitimate missions for genin, and they required leaving the village.

Upon hearing Kakashi Hatake mention C-rank, Tianming immediately understood.

So it was time for the Land of Waves.

"Ding! Mission activated. Please proceed to the Land of Waves to check in."

"Complete the check-in to receive the mission reward."

"Absolutely." Kakashi Hatake clapped his hands. "Enough chatter. Let's head to the Hokage's office."

Before long, the group of five arrived at the Hokage's office.

There were already quite a few people in the office. Besides the Third Hokage, Hiruzen Sarutobi, there were also several Konoha higher-ups.

"Kakashi-sensei, you're here." Hiruzen Sarutobi smiled, his kind gaze sweeping over the four children behind Kakashi Hatake.

"Lord Hokage, Kakashi Hatake is ready to accept the mission," Kakashi Hatake said calmly.

"Hey, hey, hey. I thought you Konoha ninjas were recognized as the strongest among the Five Great Nations. Sending a few lousy ninjas won't be a problem, right?" At that moment, an old man reeking of alcohol, with a bottle of shochu in hand, spoke up.
