Gu Lingxiao was originally an ordinary mortal without the qualifications to cultivate. The Five-Elements Heavenly Scripture reshaped his physique and enabled him to defy that fate, transforming him into the peerless prodigy recognized by the cultivation world. The cost of forcibly drawing on its power, however, was not merely lifespan; it also eroded his fortune. 905

He entered the Impermanence Sect both for shelter and to pursue a treasure connected to Primordial Unity Hall.
