Background

Jellyfish Palace was founded by the first-generation Jellyfish, a Demon Race cultivator who taught disciples without distinction between humans and demons. The palace consequently included both groups, although its demon faction consistently held greater influence. 569 614

The first-generation Jellyfish also created the half-demon race. Half-demons prospered while she remained active, but were suppressed after her ascension; even within Jellyfish Palace, they became low-status servants. 588 687

Over generations, Jellyfish Palace established control over the Boundless Sea’s spiritual-essence network and major nodes. Its ancestral court became the sea’s effective core, giving the palace a dominant position over local cultivation lands and allowing it to replace the Star-Traveling Whale clan as the sea’s ruling power. 718 810

War against the Impermanence Sect

Jellyfish Palace entered open conflict with the Impermanence Sect, using its ability to mobilize aquatic demons to create beast tides and break the sect’s defenses. It pursued a strategy of sealing off the Boundless Sea, overwhelming defensive nodes, and preventing outside reinforcements. 576 582 618 630

Its forces besieged Fanghui Island, attacked Sea-Pacifying City with Great True Persons and the Abyssal Sea Formation, and eventually pressed the Impermanence Sect into a broad retreat. 632 639 642

Losses and the Sea-Eye Crisis

Canghai True Lord deployed the Profound Mother Treasure Wheel in the Great Void to counter the Impermanence Sect’s formations. This disrupted the Boundless Sea’s sea eye, causing storms, tsunamis, mass death, and the emergence of water ghosts. 755 762

The war also cost Jellyfish Palace Azure Wave True Lord, while Ice Severing and Raging Tide suffered serious injuries. With Canghai forced to restore the Treasure Wheel to suppress the sea eye, the palace contracted its influence and avoided further conflict with the Underworld. 762 782

Theft of the Grotto-Heaven Fragment

After Jiang Chen captured Raging Tide True Lord, he attacked the ancestral court while the palace lacked both a resident True Lord and the Profound Mother Treasure Wheel. 801

Using the possessed body of Wave-Turning Demon King, Jiang Chen infiltrated the palace’s core and discovered that its fourth-rank formation depended on a grotto-heaven fragment. He severed its connection to the formation, defeated Canghai True Lord’s awakened guardian presence, and seized the fragment. 807 808

The theft destabilized the Boundless Sea’s spiritual essence and forced Canghai True Lord to suppress the sea with his own body. 810

Reconstruction and Final Destruction

Jellyfish Palace rebuilt its collapsed palaces, but the restored site lacked its former spiritual character. The Endless Li-Fire Talisman temporarily created an illusory grotto-heaven to stabilize the sea eye, buying the palace roughly a century to obtain another genuine fragment. 822

Without the original fragment, the Heavenly Water Boundary-Splitting Formation remained weaker than before. The Yellow-Robed Daoist and Spirit Lord assaulted the ancestral court, overwhelmed the formation through the Burial Formula and Heaven-and-Earth Transformation, and killed Ice Severing True Lord. 863 864 865

Following the battle, the ancestral grounds became a frozen and sand-buried death zone. The attackers then seized the Abyssal Sea Blessed Land, and Jellyfish Palace was described as exterminated. 865
