Soul Harvesting

Soul Hall systematically targeted powerful souls, particularly those of alchemists. Its predation on Central Continent alchemists was a major source of the Pill Tower’s hostility toward the organization 250 268.

History

Soul Hall was feared as the dominant power of the Central Continent long before the Heavenly Mansion Alliance formed. The Soul Hall Master built much of that reputation by slaughtering dozens of sects in a single night, including five two-star Dou Sheng experts 324.

Its long-term collection of souls created enemies across the continent. The Pill Tower lost numerous alchemists to Soul Hall, the Flower Sect’s conflict with Tian Ming Sect was linked to Soul Hall influence, and Old Ancestor Huoyun had previously been forced to endure a conflict with the organization because of its strength 278. Xiao Yan and Old Yao also considered Soul Hall responsible for the near-extermination of the Xiao Family 316.

The Flower Sect, Blazing Flame Valley, Pill Tower, and Starfall Pavilion consequently established the Heavenly Mansion Alliance against Soul Hall. The Deputy Master interrupted its formation through a projection, revealing that Soul Hall had already learned of the alliance and attempting to intimidate its founders into withdrawing 281. The alliance nevertheless proceeded and began locating Soul Hall branch halls through a dedicated intelligence network 282.

After attacking alliance cities and abducting more alchemists, Soul Hall faced a counteroffensive. Xiao Yan, Old Yao, and Zi Yan infiltrated Human Hall, annihilated its defenders, killed the Great Heavenly Venerate, and released the imprisoned souls. The Deputy Master escaped and abandoned Human Hall’s surviving experts, while Xiao Yan seized its Soul Light Cluster 317 318.

The destruction of Human Hall proved that Heavenly Mansion could directly challenge Soul Hall. In the following year, the two factions fought across the Central Continent, with Soul Hall attacking alliance cities and Heavenly Mansion destroying branch halls. The alliance gradually gained the upper hand as more oppressed factions joined it 346 350.

At the Summit of Demise, Soul Hall deployed the Master, Old Man Soul Demon, the Deputy Master, and four additional Dou Sheng experts against the Heavenly Mansion Alliance 357. Xiao Yan defeated the Soul Hall Master, though Hun Qianmo intervened before Xiao Yan could kill him 366.

Afterward, Soul Hall’s activity sharply declined. It evacuated exposed branch halls, removing their personnel, captive souls, and collected Soul Origin before the Heavenly Mansion Alliance could seize them 389. The allied forces eventually destroyed every Central Continent branch hall they could locate, including the Heaven and Earth Halls, but concluded that the Hun Clan had deliberately withdrawn Soul Hall after it had served its purpose 441.

Conflicts

• Heavenly Mansion Alliance — Soul Hall’s principal enemy. Their conflict escalated from intimidation and proxy attacks into a continent-wide war and a decisive confrontation at the Summit of Demise 281 346 357.
