Background / History

Xiao Yi transmigrated to the Dou Qi Continent after an accident in his previous life. He became Xiao Yan's cousin, and the two were inseparable throughout childhood. Both were once regarded as the Xiao Clan's “Twin Supremes” before their Dou Qi vanished, leaving them publicly ridiculed as failures. Unlike Xiao Yan, Xiao Yi retained knowledge of Xiao Yan's future and initially intended to rely on his cousin's eventual rise rather than struggle himself. 1

His circumstances changed when Xiao Xuan, the former Xiao Clan patriarch and a half-step Dou Di, awakened within Xiao Yi's black storage ring. Xiao Yi learned that Xiao Xuan had unknowingly absorbed his Dou Qi for three years; because their Dou Qi attributes were nearly identical, Xiao Xuan was able to return it and restore Xiao Yi's cultivation. 3 4

Xiao Yi concealed Xiao Xuan's existence and claimed that his Dou Qi had merely been dormant within his body.
