Breaking Through the Heavens!

Wu Pifu could be certain of two things.

First, Nine Infants was exceedingly pure.

Though it had been talkative and cunning ever since appearing, fleeing the moment things went wrong, then immediately provoking Wu Pifu into attacking the crystal layer once it was safe, hoping he would incur Heaven's wrath—

It looked complicated, but Wu Pifu sensed that Nine Infants' essence was extremely pure: the law of the jungle in its absolute form. The weak were prey to the strong, and the fittest survived. Morality and ethics meant nothing. So long as it survived, so long as it grew stronger, anything was permissible.

Whether it wanted to kill Wu Pifu, eat people, flee without the slightest shame, or provoke Wu Pifu now, everything it did was for survival, for killing Wu Pifu, and for taking back the Dream Compass.

An enemy like this would never change or compromise. If he let it escape now, it would inevitably become his great enemy in the future—and humanity's as well. It would use every possible means to kill Wu Pifu, even destroy human civilization. No matter how despicable those methods might be, they would be ordinary conduct to it. It was far too great a threat to the people around Wu Pifu.

Second, the Unified Pan-Consciousness of a transcendent Great World was not like the Heavenly Father described in human texts, treating all things equally and dispensing impartial justice. The Heavenly Dao had its own interests.

Based on the information currently known, the Mountain and Sea Realm possessed a strict hierarchy even at the level of its Unified Pan-Consciousness. If Nine Infants used its authority and knowledge to manipulate it, the entire Mountain and Sea Realm would become humanity's great enemy!
