The last individual of the Containment Civilization fell into utter confusion.
Honestly, this situation... was fucking absurd!
What did they think that was?

Wu Pifu and the others had no particular concept of containment objects, but he was different. He was a native individual of the Containment Civilization, and not some ordinary mortal completely unaware of his own civilization. He was the last hope who had truly inherited the full legacy of the Containment Civilization.
So he was far too familiar with containment objects. He understood them far too well.
They were completely different from all the ordinary and extraordinary things in the Dream World.
The so-called ordinary things referred to Transcendents, Ascendant Bodies, Roots, and at most, nightmares.
The extraordinary ones were fantasy objects, memes, anomalies, and various inconceivable things brought about by pollution, such as Oblivion Pollution and dimensional-reduction pollution.
But none of that was anywhere near as utterly unconstrained by basic logic as containment objects!
Everything else could be explained by the idea that transcendence was pollution, or by the Contamination Source. But although containment objects were manifestations of pollution, they followed an entirely different set of principles. Their core logic differed from all of that. They were somewhat similar to the transcendence of the soul and true spirit system, yet far, far stranger.
In short, regardless of what form a containment object took—human, creature, or item—its essence was both object and not-object. It was neither life nor non-life, neither concept nor non-concept, but something else entirely...
And something like that could perish from aging!?
