He spared roughly one-tenth of the Ascendant Bodies and let them leave. As they departed, he spoke to them in an extremely serious tone, saying something utterly absurd.
"I had originally planned to kill only two-thirds of you. I would have let the remaining third leave, so you could spread word of this slaughter and let every nonhuman that knew of me and knew your fate understand this: when you encounter me, I will only kill two-thirds of you. Draw three, kill two. That is the rule I have set for you."
"But as I said earlier, today I intended to vent without restraint, so I casually killed a few extra. You don't mind, do you?"
Of course they did not mind.
