Feipeng finally arrived. Sensing danger, Wu Zhong hurriedly fired the Purple Molten Bomb he had originally prepared for Arborvitae at Feipeng.
Bang!
Feipeng spun through the air like a whirling top and actually used the wooden stick behind his butt to knock the Purple Molten Bomb away.
"What?" Wu Zhong was stunned. That worked?
Of course, Feipeng was in so much pain that his teeth were bared.
He glared hatefully at Wu Zhong, darted forward, and struck with an angry palm chop through the air!
Boom!
Wu Zhong raised an arm to block, but the force still sent him flying, making him cough up blood on the spot.
With a smack, his whole body slammed into the wall and slid down. His head spun, he could barely catch his breath, and stars danced before his eyes.
"This guy is still really strong..."
The stump of Wu Zhong's severed arm throbbed with agony. He felt like crying without tears. He had just killed Arborvitae in a counterattack, and now Feipeng had arrived.
Although Feipeng had been afflicted by Forced Laughter and Sword in the Anus, leaving him in extreme pain, it only made his control over his strength intermittent and clumsy. It had not completely robbed him of his fighting power.
Now that Feipeng had recovered somewhat, Wu Zhong had no chance of resisting him.
"Pfft... Even with six times the cell activity, my chest is still caved in, and my broken bones haven't reconnected..."
Only after ending up in this situation did Wu Zhong finally understand why Luo Yi had said, "A mental illness that repeats is more useful."
After all, when severely injured, what was the point of adding attributes compared to restoring health?
Unfortunately, after that desperate counterattack, the odds of getting insomnia again were simply far too low.
Otherwise, if he could have healed himself once, things would have been completely different.
With his cell activity soaring, his severed arm was no longer as sluggish as constipation, and he no longer needed to support it with his other hand.
But it had not truly healed. Otherwise, if he had fired several Purple Molten Bombs in succession earlier, Arborvitae would have died long ago, and Feipeng would not have been a threat.
"Huff, huff, huff... Hahaha..."
After heavily wounding Wu Zhong with one blow, Feipeng stopped to catch his breath, unable to stop himself from laughing.
Actually, Sword in the Anus was tolerable. The laughter was the real torment. As a martial arts-type host, he needed to regulate his breathing to circulate his internal energy.
With his breath thrown into chaos by laughter, he was nearly choking and could not use his internal energy continuously.
"Oh ho ho... Why can't I pull it out... Hahaha... Why can't I pull it out!"
Leaning against the wall, Wu Zhong said, "The wounds caused by my attacks are Incurable. Only I can heal them..."
He launched into the same spiel he had used to fool Arborvitae before, talking endlessly about how only he could remove the Sword in the Anus.
And only healing used by him could close wounds that he had inflicted.
Hearing those familiar words, the badly burned Arborvitae suddenly sat upright in his deathbed sickness.
"Mmph mmph mmph! Mmph mmph!"
Arborvitae glared furiously at Wu Zhong, trying to warn Feipeng not to listen to Wu Zhong's nonsense, not to give him another chance to fall for his tricks.
This was a joke. Wu Zhong should have died long ago, yet he had turned things around again and again.
He had counterattacked Feipeng once in a desperate situation and left him like this. He had also counterattacked Arborvitae twice, nearly making him die here in bitterness.
They absolutely could not let this brat lead them around by the nose again, or the two of them would be played to death!
However, Arborvitae's teeth were clenched shut, making speech impossible. The sounds he produced were muffled and unintelligible.
Feipeng could not understand him.
"Arborvitae, what's wrong? Open your mouth."
Arborvitae rolled his eyes. If he could open his mouth, would he not have done so already?
He pointed at his mouth, then pointed at Wu Zhong.
Feipeng asked uncertainly, "What did you do to him? Do you have a silencing trait too?"
Wu Zhong curled his lips. "I told you. No one can change injuries I inflict."
"I damaged his mouth, so naturally he can't speak."
Feipeng nodded. That was indeed true. His wounds in front and the sword behind had both resisted every attempt at treatment.
There was nothing wrong with what Wu Zhong said.
So, while laughing madly, Feipeng demanded that Wu Zhong pull out the wooden stick. He would let Wu Zhong go if he treated him; otherwise, he would kill him.
Wu Zhong said weakly, "If I pull it out, you'll kill me anyway... Do you think I'm stupid?"
Through his laughter, Feipeng said he would not. He would never allow himself to be infected with a potentially dangerous trait.
Wu Zhong grinned. "I can't trust you..."
"Unless you give me medicine first and treat my injuries."
"I need at least some ability to fight back. Otherwise, I'll just be meat on your chopping block."
Feipeng considered it only briefly before nodding in agreement.
He had not witnessed how Arborvitae had been reduced to such a miserable state. All he thought about was that his own condition had to be treated.
What did it matter if he healed Wu Zhong a little? Wu Zhong's strength was nothing special. He merely had some strange Incurable methods.
"Mmph mmph mmph! Mmph mmph mmph!" Arborvitae warned him anxiously.
But Feipeng would not listen. Anyone with something stuck in front and behind while being forced to laugh would make the same choice.
"Fine." Feipeng immediately took out a bottle of foam spray and covered Wu Zhong's arm and chest with bubbles.
Wu Zhong immediately felt a powerful chill and sense of comfort sweep through his body.
This medicine felt similar to the ointment Xia Heng had used on him before. Before long, even breathing through his chest became much easier.
"Good enough? Ho ho ho, pull it out already! Hahaha!"
Feipeng urged him impatiently, turning his body sideways to look at him.
Wu Zhong felt the tingling in his severed arm. "Wait a little longer. My arm is still broken. I can't put any strength into it."
Feipeng frowned deeply. He had cut off one of Wu Zhong's arms, while the other was twisted nearly into a knot and clearly broken as well.
His foam healing medicine was not that miraculous. Injuries like that would normally take at least an hour or two to heal.
For a broken arm to be raised again, they would need to wait at least ten minutes.
"No. Waiting for your arm to heal will take too long."
"Use your feet to help me pull it out first."
Upon hearing that, Wu Zhong slowly raised his foot. He truly intended to help pull it out.
Sword in the Anus looked gruesome, but for an expert, it was not very damaging. It was simply extremely humiliating.
He might as well remove it to gain Feipeng's trust. He also needed time to recover with the medicine's effects.
However, just as he raised both legs, touched the wooden stick, and was about to pull it out for him—
"Mmph!"
Arborvitae suddenly exerted himself and, incredibly, stood up in desperation.
"What?"
Wu Zhong's eyes nearly popped out. Was this even human?
He had lost so much blood. His heart was shattered, half his lungs were destroyed, his butt had burst open, his abdomen had a hole in it, his internal organs were a complete mess... and his hair had somehow turned dry and white.
Yet this guy could still stand!
From the looks of it, he intended to come over and finish Wu Zhong himself.
Damn it, he had been so close. So close!
"Stop him! He wants to kill me!" Wu Zhong shouted.
Feipeng frowned. "Hahaha, Arborvitae, don't sacrifice your lifespan—ah, hahaha."
Ignoring him, Arborvitae lunged straight at Wu Zhong and unleashed a vicious kick.
With no other choice, Wu Zhong had to expose the extent of his injuries and raise an arm to block.
Clang!
Wu Zhong scraped across the ground for several meters, and the Sword in the Anus he had been about to remove was no longer removed.
As he flew back from the block, he simply kicked hard with both legs!
The wooden stick, which had only been shallowly tucked inside Feipeng's pants, suddenly plunged in another section!
"Ugh! Hah ho ho ho ho!"
Feipeng's eyes bulged, and he dropped to his knees on the spot. He wanted to circulate his energy to heal, but was still forced to laugh, leaving the energy within his body in chaos.
Arborvitae flew into a rage, his leg once again whistling toward Wu Zhong in a kick. "Hmph!"
"Are you using cheats?" Wu Zhong despaired.
Even with three times the physical attributes, it was still not enough. Arborvitae now had at least seven or eight times the physical attributes, along with unbelievable control while on the verge of death.
"So close..."
"No, what are Xia Heng and Luo Yi doing? I'm fighting two against one here. Haven't they finished their two-against-one fight yet?"
Just as Wu Zhong could only curl up and shield his head, preparing to take the blow head-on—
The bluestone slabs on the ground suddenly exploded, and a stone stele rose up to block the strike.
At the same time, sharp rocks pierced Arborvitae's crotch.
With a squelch, they stabbed fiercely into the bloody hole Wu Zhong had blasted open earlier.
"Urgh mmph mmph!" Arborvitae howled in pain, still keeping his mouth shut as he groaned!
This was a critical hit Yang Chunsha had never achieved before.
Holding a leather-bound book, the woman rose from underground atop a stone platform. She was covered in dust, and her eyes were crazed.
Though her magic had little destructive power and was not meant for combat, Arborvitae was covered in wounds, all of which could not be healed.
Even the holes could not close. No matter how low the damage from the stone slabs was, no matter how slow and gentle they were, striking his internal organs still inflicted heavy wounds.
"Debiao!"
Hope rose within Wu Zhong again. "Please, Debiao!"
"You can do it. You can beat him! He's almost done for."
Wu Zhong was now nearing his limit, while Arborvitae was at the end of his rope.
Feipeng was in even worse condition. The wooden stick was halfway in, and circulating his energy amid uncontrollable laughter had nearly made him suffer a backlash.
Of everyone present, only Yang Chunsha was still in decent shape. Other than one broken arm, she was almost uninjured.
"I-I'll fight you all to the death!"
Yang Chunsha's eyes were crazed as she stood at the very front. Rock and soil wrapped around Arborvitae, spreading into his burst-open butt.
Unfortunately, the kinetic force was enough only to penetrate, not to pierce through.
"Courting death! You forced my hand!" Feipeng roared, no longer thinking about healing himself.
He held two fingers together like a blade, sword light enveloping them as he shattered the stone slab blocking his way.
Rumble!
His face flushed, his neck thickened, veins bulged, and chaotic energy surged from his body, making his clothes billow despite the lack of wind.
But the ground beneath him suddenly gave way. A huge depression appeared, and both he and Arborvitae fell into it.
At the same time, Yang Chunsha waved her hand, and rock and soil surged wildly to bury them.
Arborvitae was buried alive for the second time, this time together with Feipeng.
Yang Chunsha had prepared in advance this time by digging a tunnel, burying them even deeper!
"Go!"
While maintaining her magic to suppress the two of them, Yang Chunsha helped Wu Zhong up.
Wu Zhong smiled weakly. "Debiao! Why did you come back again?"
Yang Chunsha gritted her teeth. "Hmph, I never left."
When she had abandoned Wu Zhong and turned down the corner, she had intended to leave. But after hearing Wu Zhong tell the enemy to spare her, she stopped at the wall.
She had watched everything in secret. She had thought Wu Zhong was certain to die, but he had somehow counterattacked Arborvitae in a desperate situation.
Unfortunately, Feipeng had arrived afterward. Seeing Wu Zhong struggle desperately against two enemies alone, and seeing that he had been so close—so close to victory—
Yang Chunsha had circled back and used the tunnel-digging magic she was skilled at to sneak underground.
Now she had struck suddenly and buried Arborvitae and Feipeng alive. The rock and soil inside continued to compress them, so it should be able to kill them.
Supported by her, Wu Zhong staggered forward.
But he walked very slowly. Both arms, his ribs, and his waist had all suffered heavy damage, and his internal organs were injured too.
"Hurry! They're not dead yet..." Yang Chunsha suddenly turned back in fear.
The rock and soil swelled up, then was pressed down again, like a beating heart.
Pfft!
Wu Zhong spat out blood and could barely remain standing.
Then a muffled boom sounded from underground.
The moment the two took a step, they were shocked to the ground by electricity. Looking back, they saw the stone slabs suppressing the pit explode, and a hand break through the earth.
Wu Zhong's eyes went wide. "Debiao... I'll pass it to you... pass you the Madblood..."
Yang Chunsha was delighted. "Okay!"
Wu Zhong immediately bit down on her arm. Yang Chunsha's brow tightened. It was the arm that had been broken, and it already hurt badly, so one more bite made little difference.
Then a wave of exhilarating sensation swept through her entire body.
Her body shook as she felt every cell in her body renew itself, and tremendous strength surged forth.
Her five senses became clear, and her blood and vitality grew vigorous.
She had become part of the Madblood Clan, with twice the physique of an ordinary person.
Yang Chunsha puffed out her chest, feeling as though she was overflowing with strength!
She suddenly raised both hands high, looking radiant. "I, this empress, am invincible beneath heaven!"
Wu Zhong's pupils shrank. What the hell was wrong with her? He hurriedly took it back, using Attribute Deprivation on her.
"Huh?" Yang Chunsha looked blank. "What are you do—"
Another wave of exhilaration suddenly swept through her body.
"Ohohoho..." She was better this time, but still very strange.
Her shoulders immediately hunched. She looked furtive, as though she were freezing, rubbing her arms while growing increasingly restless. "Don't touch me! Stay away from me!"
She shoved Wu Zhong away. Wu Zhong sighed, forcibly grabbed her, inhaled again, then exhaled, transferring another illness to her.
Yang Chunsha was no longer restless. She merely looked around curiously, then reached out to touch something.
"What is this? It's so pretty..."
She pinched her fingers together as though grasping a thread, then another, and another. She was counting things invisible in the air.
"Can you talk to me?" Wu Zhong asked.
Yang Chunsha nodded. "Huh? Of course I can. No, look at this first! Oh no, this can't be an illusion, can it?"
Her eyes kept darting upward, her mouth hanging wide open. "So huge... so huge! Look!"
Freeing one hand, Yang Chunsha shook Wu Zhong wildly as though she had witnessed some magnificent wonder.
Wu Zhong scratched his head, but still grabbed her and took another suck, drawing the illness away.
He was testing what kinds of mental illnesses he had, while also grinding up his physical attributes.
The first was the mental illness randomly generated when he first Embraced Arborvitae. Judging by the symptoms, it was likely delusional disorder or something like multiple personality disorder.
The second had been randomly generated when he first Embraced Yang Chunsha. It might have been some kind of bipolar disorder, or perhaps an extremely severe obsessive-compulsive disorder.
The third had appeared when he absorbed the previous one and performed a second-stage Embrace on Yang Chunsha. It was clearly a hallucination-related symptom.
After Embracing Yang Chunsha three times and absorbing the illnesses three times, Wu Zhong's physical attributes had increased by another three times that of an ordinary person.
His current attributes had reached six times those of an ordinary person, with his cellular activity at a full twelve times!
This physique was already on par with Luo Yi's.
