Lucian felt terrified as he crossed the swaying suspension bridge.

As Torrent walked, the bridge not only rocked but also let out intermittent creaks.

Lucian kept feeling that, as he walked, some enormous white serpent would emerge from the gorge beside the bridge and snap it in two.
