If Huo Yuhao's opening could be called "scraping by," and Di Tian's opening could be called "being blown to bits," then the opening for the two kings of the Far North could only be described with two words: utterly frustrating.
Last night, Ice Empress excitedly crafted a red block bed from wool dropped by sheep. Delighted, she pulled Snow Empress onto it, thinking that just like in reality, they would close their eyes and wake up to daylight.
Instead, the two lay stiffly on the bed for a full ten minutes.
After the message, "You may sleep only at night or during thunderstorms," vanished from the Screen, nothing happened at all.
The zombies outside the window were still roaring, and the skeletons' bones were still creaking.
"Lu Yuan! Is this stupid bed broken?!" Ice Empress shouted irritably over voice chat. "Why is it still not daylight after I've been lying here for so long?!"
Lu Yuan's lazy voice came through, carrying a hint of malicious amusement. "Oh, I forgot to tell you. In multiplayer mode, every player on the server has to be lying in bed at the same time before time speeds up. As long as even one person isn't sleeping, you'll have to tough it out."
Ice Empress looked despairingly at the party status in the lower-left corner. Di Tian and Tai Tan were endlessly dying in lava, Huo Yuhao and Wang Dong were AFK in a two-block-deep dirt pit underground, while Xiao Hongchen was digging redstone underground like an internet-addicted teenager.
Getting that bunch to obediently go to bed? In their dreams!
Thus, the two kings of the Far North could only lie side by side all night on that narrow single block bed, listening to zombies scratch at their wooden door the entire night.
