The sky had only just begun to pale when the first block-shaped ray of sunlight passed through the trees and spilled across the pitted plain.
The night of vengeance known as "John Wick" had finally come to an end.
The blocky little man controlled by Di Tian stood amid the wreckage on the muddy ground.
The durability of the last stone sword in his hand had run out as well. With a soft crack, it shattered into fragments.
Yet in his inventory, half a stack—thirty-two pieces—of gunpowder still sat neatly arranged.
Those were the spoils he had earned from slaughtering Creepers all night long.
But he did not feel the slightest bit happy.
"No matter how much gunpowder I have... it can't bring back my Sky Tyrant."
Di Tian stared at the massive crater the Creepers had blasted open beside him, his eyes filled with an indescribable melancholy.
After experiencing the companionship of such a loyal blocky dog—one that attacked wherever he pointed—returning to being alone again left even the mighty Beast God feeling uncomfortable all over.
Inside the internet café's main hall.
Di Tian took off his headset, his eyes still somewhat red.
When he lowered his head, he happened to spot Scarlet King sprawled beside his gaming chair, carefreely gnawing on a huge bone.
"Crunch, crunch."
Scarlet King's middle head was happily chewing away, its left head was dozing off, while its right head curiously watched Di Tian.
"Woof? Boss, why are you staring at me like that? Cat Chef gave me this bone, and you don't get any." Scarlet King protectively pulled the bone closer to itself.
Di Tian said nothing. He merely looked Scarlet King up and down with an exceptionally complicated gaze, this fierce beast underling who had followed him for who knew how long.
