After Orochimaru's figure completely vanished, Naruto did not immediately let down his guard.

He did not immediately set off after Sasuke and Sakura. Instead, he cleaned up the battlefield first.
He had thrown out dozens of Kunai during the fight. Kunai cost money, and he could not just leave them scattered all over the ground.
After retrieving every Kunai, Naruto stood before the area blasted apart by the Rasengan and looked at the devastated ground.
The traces were far too obvious. Only a handful of people in Konoha knew how to use the Rasengan. Any Konoha Jōnin, or even an experienced Chunin, would be able to tell at a glance that this destruction had been caused by the Rasengan.
He did not want anyone to know he could use the Rasengan yet.
A Genin who had only graduated from the Ninja Academy a few months ago, with no one having taught him this technique—if he could not explain where he had learned the Rasengan, the Third Hokage and ANBU would do more than merely show concern for his growth.
Naruto immediately ordered his Shadow Clones to start filling in the holes, returning the dirt overturned by the Rasengan, dragging broken tree stumps over to conceal the gouges left by Wind Release, and covering the scorched bushes.
After they were done, Naruto personally went over the area once more. Only after stomping the ground firm and confirming there were no problems did he dispel the Shadow Clones.
Having finished all that, Naruto activated Good and Evil Perception again and locked onto Sasuke
