Naruto joined Jiraiya in finding Tsunade, fought to convince her to become Hokage, and helped her confront her fear of blood. The group returned to Konoha with Karin, while Tsunade prepared to treat injured ninja and take office.

• Naruto rescued Karin from Kusagakure and destroyed the village after she chose to end its exploitation of her and others.
• Naruto trained new techniques, fought Sasuke, and told him about the future threat to the Shinobi World while offering to help him understand the Uchiha Massacre.
• Naruto and Jiraiya confronted Itachi and Kisame, and Naruto persuaded Itachi to leave while accepting a sealed crow containing Shisui's Mangekyō Sharingan.
• Naruto fused Wind and Lightning Chakra to awaken Swift Release, then learned from Jiraiya that Minato was his father and secured a promise of Sage Mode training.
• Naruto defeated Tsunade in Tanzaku Town and used a Rasenshuriken to drive off Orochimaru, prompting Tsunade to agree to become Hokage and make Naruto her Direct Jōnin.
• Tsunade agreed to give Karin a legal identity and offer her Medical Ninjutsu training, and Karin chose to return to Konoha with Naruto.
• Naruto brought Karin to his apartment, while Ino saw them together and followed them without speaking to Naruto.
• Tsunade's inauguration was set for five days later, she treated Kakashi and Sasuke, and she began preparing for Rock Lee's risky operation.

Naruto strengthened himself with Karin’s genes, Shisui’s Mangekyō, and Kurama’s power while helping Tsunade reveal his parentage and dismantle Root. He sent Sasuke undercover to infiltrate Orochimaru, then used Kotoamatsukami to control Orochimaru as Danzo targeted people close to Naruto.

• Naruto fused Karin’s genes into his body, awakened the Mind’s Eye of the Kagura and Adamantine Sealing Chains, and implanted Shisui Uchiha’s Mangekyō Sharingan.
• Naruto persuaded Nine-Tails to cooperate, mastered Kurama Mode and Fire-Nature Chakra, and attended Tsunade’s inauguration as Fifth Hokage.
• Tsunade promoted Naruto to Direct Jōnin, and Naruto confronted Danzo at the Jōnin meeting over his opposition to revealing Naruto’s parentage and his demand for Root recruits.
• Naruto and Tsunade exposed Root’s hidden Paper Bombs, dissolved the organization, and transferred its personnel and resources under Hokage authority.
• Konoha publicly announced that Naruto was Minato Namikaze’s son, and Naruto moved into Minato’s former villa with help from Karin and Hinata.
• Naruto arranged Sasuke’s undercover mission to infiltrate Orochimaru, gave him a spatial marker, and saw him off as Sakura tried to stop him.
• Naruto followed Sasuke to Otogakure, used Kotoamatsukami to place Orochimaru under his command, and ordered him to train Sasuke.
• Naruto took Hashirama Cells and began fusing wind, lightning, and fire chakra, while Danzo had Root agents abduct Iruka and Ino.

Naruto defeated Danzo’s Root forces and the Fourth Raikage’s team while training Karin, Hinata, and Boruto. As Naruto prepared for Urashiki’s arrival, Boruto began mastering Flying Raijin, and the arc ended with Naruto attacking Urashiki.

• Naruto rescued Ino and Iruka from Danzo, defeated Root, and left Danzo in custody for investigation and public execution.
• Naruto trained Karin and sparred with Hinata while Tsunade rejected calls to handle Danzo’s crimes privately.
• Naruto met Boruto and Sasuke from another world, learned that Urashiki would pursue his Nine-Tails Chakra, and took Boruto on a mission.
• Naruto defeated the Fourth Raikage, Darui, C, and their forces, then ordered Jiraiya to take the captives to Konoha for negotiations.
• Naruto captured a White Zetsu and kept Boruto and Sasuke away from Konoha while Obito investigated the battlefield.

Naruto turned Urashiki’s Karma into a source of power, then awakened a Sage Body and prepared Konoha for war with Kumogakure. After Killer B accepted Konoha’s terms, he wagered one of the Eight-Tails’ tails on a battle against Naruto.

• Naruto defeated Urashiki, took his Blue Rinnegan, and returned to Konoha with Sasuke and Boruto before sending them back to their own time-space.
• Naruto entered the Karma Space, forced Urashiki to submit, and began studying the Karma while experimenting with Sasuke’s Uchiha genes and Chakra.
• Naruto fused an Asura Chakra seed into himself, gaining a Sage Body and doubling his Chakra reserves before Jiraiya brought news of Kumogakure’s threat of war.
• Naruto told Tsunade that Sasuke and Boruto had come from the future, then killed Danzo after offering him a chance to take his own life and severed A’s right arm as a warning to Kumogakure.
• Boruto returned to his own time and told his family about the past, while Sasuke reported his journey to Naruto and Naruto tested his healing Power of Yang.
• Tsunade sent Naruto to negotiate with Killer B, and Naruto demanded reparations and Kumogakure’s secret techniques in exchange for the Raikage.
• Killer B accepted Konoha’s terms but wagered one of the Eight-Tails’ tails on a battle against Naruto, then began their fight with his Eight Swords Style.
