Second Brother, I'm So Stupid!

"Fine, then fight."

Ashina snorted coldly. Though still young, he was already a jonin. As long as he did not encounter one of the enemy clan's elders, he had no reason to fear anyone.

As soon as he spoke, Ashina drew a kunai and unleashed a barrage of thrown shuriken, sending dozens of kunai clattering toward Kaguya Qin.

Kaguya Qin's beautiful eyes turned icy. Her steps blurred as she used the Body Flicker Technique, dodging the shuriken in several flashes before closing in on Ashina.

"She's fast!"

Ashina was secretly startled and stabbed at her with his kunai.

Kaguya Qin did not use kunai or swords as weapons. Instead, she spread her hands, and ten half-meter-long finger bones burst through her flesh. Like extensions of her nails, they were far sharper than ordinary iron weapons as she viciously tore into Ashina.

Clang! Clang! Clang!

Both were geniuses of their respective clans and proficient in taijutsu. In mere moments, they had exchanged over a dozen moves, each one perilous and deadly.

"If you had awakened the Adamantine Sealing Chains, you might still have been able to fight me," Kaguya Qin mocked as she attacked. "But you haven't. With only this trifling skill, you're not even worthy of being my opponent."

Ashina pressed his lips together and fought with all his strength, paying no heed to her words.

Kaguya Qin truly was powerful. Her ten finger bones whistled through the air, and Ashina was already beginning to struggle, sweat gradually beading on his forehead.

Seizing the moment, Kaguya Qin struck at Ashina's chest with a Black Tiger Steals the Heart. Ashina raised his kunai to block, but the kunai was knocked away by her ten gleaming, blade-like finger bones.

Ashina darted backward, but three bloody gashes were still torn across his chest. Fortunately, the wounds were shallow and had only cut through flesh.

"If I take your head, Ryū will definitely be so furious he'll cough up blood."

Kaguya Qin extended her pink tongue and licked the blood from the tips of her finger bones, smiling seductively.

She was very beautiful, and combined with that alluring appearance, she possessed a unique charm. An ordinary man would likely have fallen for her beauty, but Ashina was not buying it.

Ashina knew he had encountered a true formidable enemy. His little face was taut with gravity. On the battlefield, life and death were often decided in an instant. He had to go all out!

With that thought, his hands rapidly formed seals as he shouted, "Ninja Art: Multiple Shadow Clone Technique!"

Hundreds of Shadow Clones appeared out of thin air and swarmed toward Kaguya Qin.

"Numbers are useless against me."

Kaguya Qin sneered. Her ten finger bones extended another half meter as she charged into the crowd, tearing and slaughtering wildly.

Pop! Pop! Pop!

Even Ashina's original body was no match for her, let alone his Shadow Clones. Like a female demon charging into a flock of sheep, Kaguya Qin slaughtered with abandon. Not a single Shadow Clone could withstand even one exchange with her.

Before the time it took to drink a cup of tea had passed, nearly a hundred Shadow Clones had been blown apart. Looking at the densely packed Ashinas before her, Kaguya Qin curled her lips disdainfully. Fighting Shadow Clones made her feel insulted.

"You think I can't find you just because you're hiding among Shadow Clones?"

Kaguya Qin sensed the chakra fluctuations of the Shadow Clones and quickly found Ashina's true body. She leaped straight at him, while the Shadow Clones blocking her path burst apart one after another.

"I'm going all out!"

Ashina gritted his teeth. Using the Shadow Clones as cover, he gathered chakra and formed a Rasengan, charging straight at Kaguya Qin.

"Just what I wanted!"

Kaguya Qin was eager to test herself. She had watched Ashina for some time and knew full well how powerful the Rasengan was. Many of her clansmen had died beneath that ninjutsu.

She would not repeat their mistakes.

Poison Dragon Drill!

Kaguya Qin shouted, fusing the five finger bones on her right hand into one and forming them into a drill as she met the Rasengan head-on.

Boom!

A deafening blast rang out.

Part of the bone drill shattered, and the Rasengan collapsed with a bang.

The powerful recoil sent Ashina flying, and he snapped a tree trunk as thick as a bowl clean in half with his body.

"Is that all you've got?"

Kaguya Qin sneered continuously as the bone drill covering her arm separated into finger bones once more.

Ashina was far weaker than her. She was absolutely certain she could kill him.

"Then I'll take your head to see Ryū."

As soon as she spoke, ten finger bones shot forth with explosive force.

Ashina used the Substitution Technique and was shot into a mangled piece of wood, while his true body swiftly fled into the distance.

Seeing this, Shusen nodded in relief. His little brother had remembered his instruction after all: if he encountered an enemy he could not defeat, he should run.

It might not look good, but compared to his life, pride was worth nothing.

"Hm?"

Shusen suddenly uttered a surprised sound, realizing that things were not so simple.

Ashina was not merely fleeing. Two Shadow Clones followed beside him, their four hands rapidly working over his palm as a powerful fluctuation gradually brewed there.

"This kid wants to stall for time and form a Big Ball Rasengan, then settle things with Kaguya Qin..."

Shusen saw through Ashina's intentions and did not know what to say.

He had included the Big Ball Rasengan in the ninjutsu scroll for the Rasengan, but the Big Ball Rasengan was incredibly difficult to learn. It was not on the same level as the Rasengan and demanded extremely precise chakra control.

Ashina had not learned the Big Ball Rasengan at all. Though he practiced diligently every day, he had secretly come to Shusen for guidance. Since Shusen was hiding his strength, he could not teach him and could only say that the Big Ball Rasengan was a ninjutsu model he had theorized himself—even he could not use it.

"Can a ninjutsu he couldn't master in practice really succeed in an environment like the battlefield?"

Worried for his little brother, Shusen began considering how to intervene without leaving any flaws.

"Where do you think you're running to?"

Kaguya Qin sneered as she used the Body Flicker Technique to pursue Ashina.

Ashina had his Shadow Clones stop her at all costs, buying time for him to form the Big Ball Rasengan. The chakra sphere in his hand grew larger and larger.

"It has to work!"

He prayed anxiously. This was his only chance to defeat her. If he failed, he would die.

At that moment, the Second Elder and Third Elder were both being held back by the elders of the Kaguya Clan. The only one who could save him was himself.

"Get out of my way!"

Kaguya Qin was thoroughly annoyed by the Shadow Clones entangling her. Bones protruded all over her body, greatly increasing her efficiency at slicing apart the clones, and the distance between her and Ashina rapidly shrank.

Just as he was about to collide with her, the Big Ball Rasengan suddenly collapsed and scattered like a guttering candle in the wind.

"What?!"

Ashina was horrified, his heart instantly plunging into an icy abyss.

He had not expected his Big Ball Rasengan to fail after all. At that moment, he thought of his second brother, his eldest sister, and his father. Those three were the most important people in his life.

"Although Second Brother isn't strong, there's definitely nothing wrong with the ninjutsu he developed. I can't use the Big Ball Rasengan only because I'm dull and stupid. Second Brother, I'm so stupid!"
