"Haha, stop it, Shakuyaku. This won't do Junichi any good." Rayleigh cut in with a laugh. "He's already past the beginner stage."
"What?" Shakuyaku was stunned.
She looked at Junichi in disbelief.
Junichi nodded slowly. If the beginner stage referred to the "beginner" level, then he had indeed already passed it.
"Junichi has already completed full-body coverage and begun training in the technique of 'Wrapping.'" Rayleigh grinned happily, seemingly delighted to see Shakuyaku at a loss. "So, the Kuja secret manual is no longer useful to him."
Shakuyaku was dumbfounded.
This was too ridiculous!
Seven days!
In just seven days, he had trained Armament Haki to the level of "Wrapping"!
Wasn't that talent far too absurd?
"...Junichi, are you a monster?" Shakuyaku could not help asking.
Junichi spread his hands. "Perhaps."
"To be honest, I've never seen talent like yours in all my life." Shakuyaku clutched her head, looking as though her entire worldview had been severely shaken.
Rayleigh laughed delightedly beside her.
The shock he had suffered had to be experienced by someone else too.
"All right, this really is useless to you." Shakuyaku took a deep breath, put away the notebook on the bar, and said with a bitter smile, "The Kuja secret manual stops at the 'Coverage' stage... after all, that's the limit for most people."
Shakuyaku shook her head as she spoke.
That was the price of making Haki widely accessible.
But for many people, their talent was lacking to begin with, and their chances of awakening Haki were slim.
Rather than waiting fruitlessly, they might as well use the Kuja secret manual.
At the very least, it gave them a chance to master Haki in this lifetime.
"All right, let's talk about something else." Rayleigh looked at Junichi. "I originally planned to teach you for six months, but you completed the lessons ahead of schedule. I don't have anything left to teach you."
Hearing that it was serious business, Junichi focused.
"So, I plan to ask another teacher to teach you swordsmanship," Rayleigh said.
Another teacher? Swordsmanship?
Junichi nodded slowly. "All right. I have no objections."
The swordsmanship of the One Piece world had its merits as well.
Cutting steel.
Flying slashes.
Those were incredible techniques that did not exist in the Naruto World.
The more he learned, the more confident he would be when he returned to face Weasel.
"Then wait for a while. It'll take him some time to reach Sabaody," Rayleigh said.
Naturally, Junichi had no objections. "All right."
Of course, he was also curious about which swordsmanship teacher Rayleigh would hire for him.
The first half of the Grand Line.
In a certain stretch of sea.
A small one-man boat slowly sailed through the rushing waves.
A stern-faced man in a wine-red shirt and long coat lay resting in the boat, a black top hat covering his face.
Pururururu!
Suddenly, the Den Den Mushi in his pocket rang.
The man removed his hat and opened his eyes, revealing a pair of sharp golden pupils.
He picked up the Den Den Mushi receiver. "Mr. Rayleigh?"
"It's me."
Rayleigh's hearty voice came through the Den Den Mushi in imitation. "Mihawk, if I remember correctly, you said you've been active in the first half of the Grand Line lately?"
"That's right," Mihawk answered succinctly.
"Perfect. I'm calling in the favor from when I helped you last time." Rayleigh said with a smile, "I'd like you to come to Sabaody and teach someone swordsmanship."
Mihawk did not answer immediately.
During his travels, Rayleigh had once helped him, and he owed the man a small favor.
Rayleigh calling it in now was perfectly fair.
"You know my temperament, Mr. Rayleigh." Mihawk's voice was low and hoarse. "I have strict requirements when it comes to swordsmanship. If he's rotten wood that cannot be carved, you should find someone else."
"No, no, no."
Rayleigh's tone was relaxed. "He's a fine piece of jade, an exceptional talent that even amazes me. You'll be surprised too."
"Oh?" Mihawk was intrigued.
Even Mr. Rayleigh was amazed?
He knew Rayleigh's identity well. This was the right-hand man of the Pirate King.
For someone who could surprise Rayleigh, he had to be a true genius.
"All right. I'll arrive in about ten days," Mihawk agreed.
Rayleigh smiled. "I'll be waiting."
Ten days passed quickly.
While waiting for his swordsmanship teacher, Junichi did not neglect to hone his skills.
[You trained Armament Haki once. Proficiency +1] [You trained Observation Haki once. Proficiency +1] [You trained Uchiha Style Swordsmanship once. Proficiency +1] [You trained Demonic Illusion: Fox Mind Technique once. Proficiency +1] [You trained Fire Style: Fireball Jutsu once. Proficiency +1]
He had not neglected the techniques of the Naruto World either.
Although those techniques seemed rather lackluster in the One Piece world.
They were completely unfit for high-level battles.
But once ninjutsu rose to the level of a bloodline limit, it underwent a qualitative transformation, gaining special effects or terrifying power.
Their power was absolutely no weaker than that of Logia types.
"Besides, Chakra has an incredibly high ceiling. By the later stages, it even reaches beyond the stars," Junichi thought to himself. They even managed time-space travel.
"The strongest member of the Otsutsuki Clan, Shibai Otsutsuki."
"Had even transcended dimensions!"
Junichi would not miss out on that potential.
Besides.
He had discovered something unusual.
His Sharingan had awakened.
Sabaody.
A deserted mangrove island.
Junichi stared at the sea. Through the clear water, he saw a pair of eerie scarlet eyes.
Two black tomoe revolved within each eye.
An icy, sinister aura of ocular power spread outward.
The one-tomoe Sharingan!
"This world makes me feel very comfortable." Junichi narrowed his eyes and muttered thoughtfully. "It feels as though my body is being nourished."
"Some shallow old injuries are healing on their own."
"And the Uchiha Clan bloodline seems to be receiving nourishment as well. It actually revealed itself on its own."
The feeling was somewhat like Obito using Hashirama Cells to nourish his Mangekyo.
It seemed that the Sharingan itself had always been in a state of nutritional deprivation.
That was why intense emotions were needed to stimulate its awakening.
"But if it receives enough nourishment, will it awaken even without intense emotions?" Junichi narrowed his eyes. "Like normal growth and development, revealing itself naturally..."
He felt that this guess might be correct.
Perhaps.
The problem of the Mangekyo going blind could be solved this way as well.
After all, Junichi's parents had died early in this life, and he had no blood-related brothers.
"It's a shame bloodline limits don't count as skills." Junichi shook his head, somewhat disappointed. "Otherwise, I could grind proficiency and improve quickly."
Elsewhere.
At the docks of the Sabaody Archipelago.
A small one-man boat slowly rode the waves into the harbor.
Mihawk stood on the boat with a black blade strapped to his back, then stepped onto the dock.
"That guy is...!!"
Someone seemed to recognize Mihawk, and their pupils shrank sharply.
"Dracule Mihawk!"
"Why is he in Sabaody?"
"Who knows? I heard he's always searching for powerful swordsmen to fight."
"How terrifying. Just one look from him feels like having a blade pointed at you."
"That's a great swordsman!"
Amid the astonished murmurs.
Mihawk remained calm, adjusted his top hat, and headed toward 13th Street.
