"Three months had passed in the Pirate World in the blink of an eye."
"But time here hadn't moved at all."
"It really felt surreal..."
Junichi walked into the bathroom and stood before the mirror.
In the mirror.
A broad-backed, powerfully built man was reflected.
His muscles were full and solid.
He had shot up to six-foot-three, and his features had become more masculine and rugged, completely lacking his former gloominess.
"Armament Haki, Observation Haki..."
"The realm of a Great Swordsman..."
"The Six Powers..."
Junichi narrowed his eyes, feeling the power overflowing within his body. He felt utterly invigorated.
He was now dozens of times stronger than before he had transmigrated!
Great strength brought ample peace of mind!
"Has he come?"
His expression shifted as he looked toward the door.
Within the range of his Observation Haki, a youth whose eyes radiated a chilling, sinister aura was approaching his house.
"Heh..."
Junichi chuckled as he drew the Great Grade Blade that had returned with him—the Demon Eye!
Outside.
Itachi Uchiha flicked the blood from his blade as he arrived at Junichi's front door.
"This is the place."
He glanced at the house number, nodded slightly, and muttered casually, "Once I'm inside, I'll use genjutsu to control him and interrogate him for his secrets."
"I'll find out what that reaction earlier was all about."
"If there's nothing unusual, I'll kill him."
Earlier.
Junichi Uchiha had left his house and seen him killing people from afar, yet unlike the other clan members, he had not charged at him in anger.
Instead, he had calmly returned home.
That calmness struck Itachi Uchiha as strange.
But he did not dwell on it.
After all, Junichi was merely a fifteen-year-old chunin who had not awakened his Sharingan. Even if he had secrets, they could not possibly be anything major.
As he pondered this.
Itachi Uchiha raised his foot and kicked the door open.
Bang!
Junichi's door was violently kicked in and sent flying into the house.
Itachi Uchiha was just about to enter.
When suddenly, a bone-chilling sense of danger spread through his entire body.
For no reason, every hair on his body stood on end, and his muscles tensed as though a life-or-death crisis were about to descend upon him.
Without hesitation.
The power in Itachi Uchiha's eyes erupted as he directly unleashed the Mangekyō's ultimate ocular technique.
"Susanoo!!"
Whoosh!
An enormous amount of ocular power surged forth and mixed with chakra, instantly forming a humanoid half-skeleton more than thirty feet tall.
At the very moment the skeleton appeared.
Rip!
A Flying Slash tore through the air and shot toward him.
Boom!!
Susanoo was sent flying with a single blow, hurtling dozens of meters away and smashing through more than ten houses in a row.
Itachi Uchiha felt as if he had been struck by a small mountain.
Stars swam before his eyes, and his head spun.
His blood and chakra churned violently as nausea rose in his throat.
"Cough, cough..."
Only after quite a while did he recover enough to look up.
The instant he did.
His eyes widened, and his face filled with horror.
A deep crack had appeared in his Susanoo!
The crack extended almost all the way to him.
It was less than three centimeters from his forehead. It had nearly pierced through Susanoo and cut him.
"It nearly cleaved through Susanoo..."
Itachi Uchiha could not believe it.
Then, he looked around.
Beside Susanoo, a deep slash mark stretched across the street for more than a hundred meters.
The sight sent a chill through his entire body.
"That slash partly hit me and nearly pierced Susanoo... while the rest carved a crack more than a hundred meters long into the street?"
"You've got to be kidding!"
"How could anyone's slash be this powerful!?"
Itachi Uchiha was utterly shocked.
Tap, tap, tap...
Suddenly, footsteps sounded from the house ahead.
Itachi Uchiha immediately looked up, staring over with tension.
A burly man walked out.
"Who are you?"
Itachi Uchiha froze. Then he spotted familiar traces in the man's face, and his expression turned astonished. "You... you're Junichi Uchiha?"
"Quick reaction, Itachi."
Junichi emerged with his blade in hand, smiling at him. "That strike actually didn't kill you outright."
"Still, my Flying Slash isn't quite good enough yet."
"My physical strength is a little lacking."
Junichi smiled, then abruptly changed his tone and pointed his long blade at Itachi.
As though it sensed its master's killing intent.
Demon Eye exuded a bewitching, bloodthirsty aura, and the patterns on its blade turned vivid as blood.
"But it's fine."
"Next slash, I'll send you on your way."
At the same time.
Around the Uchiha Clan compound, many Uchiha clan members resisting Root's assault.
They stared in astonishment toward the source of the commotion.
"A red skeletal giant..."
"It's Susanoo!"
"Someone awakened the Mangekyō Sharingan!"
"Damn it, it's that guy, isn't it?"
"Most likely."
Yet rather than being pleased, the clan members' faces darkened.
They could all guess it.
The person who had awakened the Mangekyō could only be that traitor who had betrayed the clan—Itachi Uchiha.
"Don't rush. This might be a good thing," someone suddenly said.
Everyone paused briefly before immediately understanding.
They gazed at the distant half-skeletal giant, their expressions varied.
Some guessed, some were surprised, some looked thoughtful, and some openly reveled in his misfortune.
"Has Susanoo been knocked down?"
"Who's the opponent?"
"No idea, but it definitely isn't one of the Third Hokage's people."
"Looks like plenty of people in the clan have been hiding their strength."
The group began chatting with ease.
The Third Hokage's people had already come knocking. No matter what happened next, things could not get any worse.
But in a corner.
A man wearing a spiral mask and a black humanoid creature.
Neither of them was in a good mood.
"Susanoo has been defeated. Your Uchiha Clan truly is full of talent," Black Zetsu said in a strange tone.
"It was only driven back."
Obito snorted and retorted, "And it's only Susanoo in its initial stage. Its true power hasn't even been revealed."
"Just wait."
"Once Itachi gets serious, it won't matter who is on the other side. They won't have the strength to resist."
At the heart of the clan compound.
Fugaku stared in astonishment at the fallen red Susanoo.
"That's... Itachi's Susanoo, isn't it? It was actually knocked down?"
His expression was full of surprise, and his eyes flickered involuntarily.
"Dear?" Mikoto did not understand.
"Mikoto, the situation has changed. It seems the clan may not be doomed after all," Fugaku said expectantly.
In the Hokage's office.
The Third Hokage and Danzō stared blankly at the fallen Susanoo, unable to speak.
Susanoo had actually lost?
They could not believe what they were seeing.
Wasn't this the Mangekyō's ultimate ocular technique, a powerful move said to possess the might of a war god?
And it had been slashed to the ground?
"Are there any outstanding swordsmen among the Uchiha?" The Third Hokage rubbed his head and frowned at Danzō.
When it came to understanding the Uchiha Clan, no one surpassed Danzō.
"Not that I know of!" Danzō pondered seriously before shaking his head solemnly.
At that, the Third Hokage's expression grew grave.
If there were none, that was bad.
An unforeseen variable had appeared!
"Anbu, support Root's operation." After a long silence, the Third Hokage issued the order.
From the corner of the office.
An Anbu stepped out, bowed, and left through the window.
"..."
Danzō wanted to speak but stopped himself. The Anbu's involvement would make it inconvenient for him to collect Sharingan.
But considering that something unexpected had occurred.
The primary executor, Itachi Uchiha, might be in trouble and unable to complete the clan massacre.
He could only accept the Anbu's support.
