Creed
After following the nervous Velociraptor for nearly three kilometers, Alvin saw the dinosaur hunters Barry and Sloane. The two were hiding inside a concealed tent made from desert camouflage.
After exchanging a glance with Stark, Alvin frowned and walked into the fairly spacious tent. Looking at Sloane, whose arm was in a sling, he asked in a low voice, "What happened?"
Sloane shook his head dismissively. "I was spotted while scouting close to the target. An 'Angel' came after me.
A few of my men were captured while covering my escape..."
As he spoke, Sloane looked at Stark, who would rather stand outside in the sun than enter the tent. He smiled and said, "Come in and sit down. A drone flies over the area every six hours.
We have to make sure the enemy doesn't spot us before we attack..."
Stark looked at the messy tent and waved a hand in front of his nose. "You're going to wait in this doghouse?"
As he spoke, Stark summoned a nanotech suit around himself. A flash of light, and he vanished from sight. The optical camouflage technology they'd acquired from the Hand had also been integrated into the Iron Man Armor.
Alvin watched as several supports extended from the back of Stark's armor and fixed him in place, letting him rest in a comfortable position...
He shot Stark, who was so particular about his comfort, a disdainful look, then turned to Sloane. "Your people sacrificed themselves, but you don't seem sad at all."
Sloane smiled and spread his hands. "They sacrificed themselves for their ideals. Why should I grieve for them?"
Barry shook his head, looking troubled. "'The Repairman' didn't volunteer to die!
Boss, you sound even more like a religious fanatic than those people on the Elder Council!
