Alvin had no idea what Stark and Strange had talked about...

But he had already realized the pressure his own power brought with it. "Having no choice" seemed like a pretty good way to describe his current situation.

Alvin knew Stark was feeding him a line of nonsense and trying to stamp out the idea in his head once and for all.

Alvin took a sip of whiskey, then, as several Assassins watched anxiously, reached into a box full of sea sand and pulled out a silver sphere.

He looked it over but couldn't see the slightest sign that it was an "artifact."

When Alvin tried channeling Magic Power into it, the "Golden Apple" suddenly began to glow faintly. In the air, the light formed a dazzling, asymmetrical triple helix, like one assembled from building blocks. Each node was marked with a small annotation.

Alvin studied the thing curiously and said in disbelief, "Is this a map of the human genome? I didn't exactly get much schooling, but even I know the human genome's a double helix."
