After finally coaxing little Ginny into agreeing to go to school, Alvin hurried through breakfast at the restaurant, then headed out to drive to school.
He had planned to take his G-Class, but when he stepped outside, he found Richard waiting there early in a Chevrolet Solander pickup.
Nick excitedly hopped into the passenger seat, while little Ginny and Mindy climbed into the back hand in hand. Alvin stared at Fox in disbelief. "What's going on? When did Richard get his license?

Alvin looked at the unremarkable pickup and chuckled. "Kingpin's definitely not stingy. I never expected Richard to have the soul of a farmer living inside him."
Fox waved for the slightly nervous Richard to drive off, then pressed the key fob in her hand. At the curb outside the restaurant, a bright red sports car flashed its lights...
"Get in. We're already a little late. I'll make up some of the time for you."
Alvin leaned over for a look and realized it was a brand-new Corvette.
He squeezed into the passenger seat in an extremely awkward position, then looked at Fox as she climbed into the driver's seat. "You bought something this big without even telling me? I'm reporting you to the Good Men Care Association.
This thing must've cost a fortune. Does it count as marital property?"
Alvin shifted his butt to get comfortable in the soft seat, then complained, "What's so great about this thing? The interior doesn't look fancy at all.
