When Alvin arrived at the school, he immediately realized something was off at the entrance.
Seeing a crowd of students and parents huddled outside the school, trembling with fear, Alvin motioned for Fox to go inside without him, then opened the car door and stepped out.
Alvin's arrival brought the scene to an abrupt silence...
After looking around, Alvin frowned and strode toward the entrance. He ignored the frightened students and parents and went into the security booth, grabbing Domingo by the collar. "What kind of place is this?"
Nelson had just chewed Domingo out. Looking dejected, Domingo answered Alvin's question. "It's a school."
Alvin glanced at the nearby guards, who all looked glum. Frowning, he barked, "You assholes haven't eaten? I asked what kind of place this is!"
At Alvin's roar, the guards instinctively straightened up and shouted, "It's a school! Battle Axe School!"
Alvin frowned at Domingo, who looked defiant. He kicked the two Hellhounds lying there, restless and ready to move, then said to Sarakoff, the old gatekeeper, "Go chase off those guys outside. Who the hell gave them the nerve to cause trouble on my turf?"
Sarakoff gave a sharp whistle, and the two fierce dogs charged out, barking furiously.
The toughs from Hell's Kitchen outside weren't all that scared. They knew the Hellhounds didn't bite when they barked, so they slowly backed across the street without panicking.
The wealthy parents who'd been stuck at the school entrance, on the other hand, were scared half to death. A few kids just old enough to start school rushed into their parents' arms, refusing to go inside no matter what.
Through the window, Alvin watched the assholes across the street mock the rich parents bringing their kids to school. Frowning, he summoned the Ghost Wolves, "Thor" and "Dom."
