The Super Coulson Squad

Outskirts of London, England. Inside an abandoned building, Coulson watched as Fitz, the curly-haired young man on his team, repeatedly dropped one of his glowing spherical probes down the stairwell.

He really was dropping it. Every time the spherical probe reached a certain point, it suddenly vanished. Then, less than two seconds later, it would be tossed back along the same path, as if someone below were playing catch with him!

Fitz stared at the bizarre data on the receiver in his hand, then excitedly called toward Coulson, "This is a miracle! There's some kind of mysterious force field here. It's creating a Space Gate, like the Asgardian Bifrost, but much gentler."

Coulson glanced cautiously into the empty room before him. He heard Fitz's shout and looked back at him, smiling faintly. "You've definitely never seen the real Bifrost. Hurry up and collect the data. Figure out what's going on here. I have a feeling there's something strange in this place..."

As he spoke, Coulson took a step into the room, hoping to find out whether there was anything inside this eerily quiet place.

The instant he stepped forward, ripples spread through the air like waves on water, and Coulson was sucked inside.

Fitz dropped the probe into the stairwell again, but this time it seemed to have stopped working. His taciturn "playmate" below no longer tossed it back.

Realizing something was wrong, Fitz turned and called, "Sir? Agent Coulson? Something's changed... Sir..."

Fitz called several times, but Coulson didn't answer. He quickly tapped the communicator on his ear and called out, "Sir? Sir...

This is Fitz. Please respond..."

As he spoke, Fitz finally realized that something was wrong. He switched to the public channel and shouted, "This is Fitz. Something seems to have happened..."

At that moment, Coulson stood
