Alvin roared and charged toward Malekith, who stood not far away.
After being knocked flying, the powerful Kurse tried to get back up and stop the seemingly unstoppable Alvin, but Thor, finally clearheaded, swung Mjolnir and knocked him back down.
His father Odin's grievous injuries had enraged Thor to the extreme. He seemed to have found a way to call down thunder, no longer relying solely on Mjolnir's power. Lightning erupted from his body and surged into the hammer, unleashing even more violent thunderbolts that blasted Kurse until he couldn't lift his head.
Alvin had no idea what was happening here, or who the ugly, pale-faced, pointy-eared freak was. But with old Odin badly wounded, Alvin couldn't afford to let his guard down.
As Alvin upgraded without hesitation, his battle axe, Phoenix, burst into a red glow. Level 40 Path of Flame erupted behind him, and as he ran, a five-meter-wide, forty-meter-tall wall of fire rose up, burning at an unbelievable temperature.
Old Odin sat on the ground, injured. He merely sensed the heat of the fire wall from a distance, but the old fellow who had just been on the verge of death scrambled to his feet and ran as far away as he could.
A moment earlier, Malekith had seemed completely unconcerned. But when Alvin raced around him with Path of Flame blazing as if it would burn through the world, then began tightening the circle, Malekith let out a despairing roar.
