The moment the signal in Alita's brain leaked out, the central computer aboard the battered Kree spaceship far out in space suddenly lit up.

If anyone had been nearby, they would have seen a large block of information appear on an electronic screen.

If Alvin had been there, he might have remembered the unlucky big-brained creature. On that spherical spaceship that had tried to piece itself back together, an impatient Alvin had stomped it into mush.

Alvin and the others had no idea that Alita's predecessor was an Electronic Sprite unique to the planet where Lang came from. With the help of the Electronic Sprites, the big-headed species had developed a glorious civilization.

But one day, the Kree's Supreme Intelligence took an interest in the Electronic Sprites, and war broke out.

The Kree destroyed the planet where Lang lived. To everyone's surprise, however, the Electronic Sprites proved exceptionally brave. In groups, they charged the central computers of Kree ships, trying to seize control and fight back.
