Shang-Chi's Battle

Alvin used Venom to form a bracer and gauntlet over Shang-Chi's arm, both covered in black patterns.

Ever since Alvin had frozen Venom that one time, the symbiote had stayed close to the scorching Artificial Sun and forcibly evolved.

Now it could not only create all sorts of armor and tools, but also form rune patterns on the weapons and armor it produced.

Alvin had tried it a few times. The runes Venom made didn't have much energy and couldn't form a Runeword, but there was strength in numbers.

Once the thing most afraid of high temperatures, Venom thoughtfully covered Shang-Chi's bracer and gauntlet with a great many Ral and Thul runes.

The Thul runes on the gauntlet could inflict cold damage, while the Ral runes on the bracer increased fire resistance.

Alvin wasn't sure exactly how much of an effect they'd have, but judging by how densely packed the patterns were, he thought they'd be more than enough against Johnny Storm. His only worry was that Shang-Chi might lose control and kill the guy, which wouldn't look good for Stark.
