With a gasp of surprise, everyone's attention once again turned to the graceful young man in a sky-blue robe, who had already made his way more than ten steps along the trial path.
Shen Qingyun advanced one step at a time, pausing after each one. His route wasn't straight at all. At times, he hopped several steps to the right; at others, he retreated several steps toward the back-left.
His steps were wildly erratic, leaving everyone unable to make out any pattern. Even so, Shen Qingyun was indeed moving forward, one step at a time. He hadn't triggered a single trap. As he went farther and farther, the deeper he ventured, the more difficult it became. His face was grave.
Fine beads of sweat had appeared on his forehead, and his pace gradually slowed.
