"Since you are Brother Pangu's children, you naturally bear the responsibility of protecting the Primordial World he created. Unfortunately, your strength is far too weak."

After the ceremony, Chen Xuan reached out and helped the Three Pure Ones to their feet. "Laozi, you are the eldest of the Three Pure Ones and shall be my first disciple. I bestow upon you the Coiling Dragon Cane, your instrument for attaining the Dao."

"Primordial Heavenly Venerable, you are my second disciple. I bestow upon you the Three Treasures Ruyi, your instrument for attaining the Dao."

"Tongtian, you are my third disciple. I bestow upon you the Green Duckweed Sword, your instrument for attaining the Dao."

"The Coiling Dragon Cane is the stem of the Fortune Green Lotus; the Three Treasures Ruyi is the root of the Fortune Green Lotus; the Green Duckweed Sword is the leaf of the Fortune Green Lotus."

"These three treasures were born as one, just like you three brothers. Thus, from this day forth, red stem, white root, green lotus leaf—the Three Pure Ones shall forever be one family."

Having received their respective instruments for attaining the Dao, the Three Pure Ones could not help but kneel again and thank Chen Xuan.

Chen Xuan then had the three sit cross-legged before him and began expounding the general outline of the three thousand Great Dao laws: the Primordial Dao Scripture.

"Qian and Kun, Kan and Li; hardness and softness complement one another. The four contain each other, and this is called the bestowed key. Two, four, three, five, one—the essence of Heaven and Earth. The numbers two and eight correspond to the Heavenly Talisman and meet within the cauldron. The cauldron is Heaven and Earth; it is the divine chamber. Qian and Kun are the Bright Hall..."

As Chen Xuan expounded the Primordial Dao Scripture, heavenly flowers scattered from above and golden lotuses surged from the earth. Distant jeweled garlands descended from the sky, cleansing the divine souls and bodies of the Three Pure Ones.

This caused the Three Pure Ones to enter a state of insight more mysterious than mystery itself, wondrous beyond all wonder. In the blink of an eye, ten thousand years passed.

Within the Primordial Dao Scripture, the Three Pure Ones found their own opportunities, and their cultivation directly broke through to the initial stage of the Primordial Golden Immortal realm.

The Three Pure Ones nodded to Chen Xuan together. Then they closed their eyes once more and began to perceive the path of laws best suited to them.
