"Stay alive, kid. Don't let me down."
"Only if you survive on Beast Planet and see some blood will you be qualified to take the martial exam!"
Those cold words were the last thing Su Bo heard before the spacecraft vanished from his sight with a boom.
Beast Planet!
Su Bo had no idea how far it was from Red River Star.
Having just awakened from cultivation, Su Bo only caught the words "kill him" and instinctively blurted out a question about who was being killed.
Then, he was grabbed and sent soaring into the sky.
Situ Ting dragged him along, leaping straight out of the atmosphere. With another step, he entered a cloaked spacecraft, which immediately shot away with a boom.
In a daze, several dozen minutes later, Su Bo was kicked out of the spacecraft.
"Are you kidding me?"
Boom!~~
On a wilderness of yellow earth and blowing sand, Su Bo wiped the blood from the corner of his mouth and sprang up. The ground shattered beneath him as Wind-Treading Step flashed, carrying him hundreds of meters away in an instant.
Three days had passed since he had been thrown off the spacecraft, and he had lost count of how many times he had fled for his life.
He had only just emerged from a primeval forest when he ran headlong into a huge creature foraging for food. Instinctively, he threw a punch at the beast.
The terrifying rebound force nearly shattered his wrist.
Then he ran, and it chased...
After finally shaking off that huge creature's pursuit, he had not gone far before encountering an even more terrifying giant.
Again, he ran, it chased, and he sprinted for his life.
And so...
He had barely made it through last night. Just as the hiding Su Bo had been about to find something to eat, he encountered this somewhat terrifying beast.
The beast, resembling a triceratops, fixed its vertical pupils on the tiny figure fleeing before it.
It was hungry, and delicious food had delivered itself to its door. It had to eat this little thing.
One man and one beast—one chased, the other fled...
"Roar~"
A fishy gale pounced fiercely from behind. Su Bo could even smell the foul stench from the beast's mouth.
Wind-Treading Step twisted his body as he dodged to the side.
The Triangular Rhinoceros Dragon charged with all its might, smashing a gigantic boulder twice a man's height into fragments.
Seizing the chance, Su Bo slammed a fist into the Triangular Rhinoceros Dragon's neck. The force of nearly thirty thousand jin staggered it several steps.
Dazed by the blow, the Triangular Rhinoceros Dragon shook its head, turned around, and stomped the ground viciously before charging at him again.
Bixi Divine Intent fused with his spiritual power. Su Bo seemed to transform into Bixi himself and let out a resonant roar.
"Roooar..."
"Ao ao ao~~"
A miserable shriek rang out. The Triangular Rhinoceros Dragon's enormous body suddenly trembled as invisible spiritual power pierced through its mind and stabbed into its frail consciousness.
Boom... The charging Triangular Rhinoceros Dragon flipped over and crashed to the ground.
"Good chance."
Su Bo leaped up and landed atop the Triangular Rhinoceros Dragon. His fists, carrying tens of thousands of jin of force, smashed down with savage brutality.
"Ao..." Its mournful, agonized howls echoed across the wilderness.
Its scales shattered. Bright red blood sprayed, and chunks of flesh flew from its neck.
The pain drove the Triangular Rhinoceros Dragon even madder. It charged and thrashed about, trying to throw off Su Bo sitting atop it, but it had underestimated the strength of the tiny figure on its back.
With one hand gripping its scales and flesh, Su Bo clenched his other fist and hammered down again and again. The flesh on the Triangular Rhinoceros Dragon's neck was nearly beaten to pulp.
Its miserable howls carried far into the distance.
They frightened many nearby beasts away from this stretch of wilderness.
High above in the starry sky, a cloaked spacecraft had locked onto Su Bo's coordinates. Situ Ting cultivated while keeping watch over Su Bo's situation at all times.
If any real danger arose, he could rush over at once.
"Idiot!" Situ Ting watched Su Bo flee in every direction in a fluster, relying on the terrain to escape.
The Triangular Rhinoceros Dragon was a level-two subdragon beast. It possessed a trace of dragon blood, and its strength could barely rival that of a human martial artist at the fifth refinement of the Fleshly Body Realm.
This kind of beast possessed a terrifying physique, though its speed was difficult to praise.
With Su Bo's strength, if he set his mindset straight, he might have been able to fight a Triangular Rhinoceros Dragon.
But he should not have been chased into such a state by one.
It was entirely because this was his first time facing the savage might of a beast head-on. He could not even bring out half of his strength, which was why the Triangular Rhinoceros Dragon had driven him into a frantic flight all over the place.
However, when Situ Ting saw the Triangular Rhinoceros Dragon get suppressed in the blink of an eye, a trace of approval flashed through his eyes.
In just three days, he had dared to face a beast head-on. Even while being chased down to be killed, he had managed to seize the chance for a counterkill. This kid was far better than the martial arts students from previous years.
At least he had not wet himself from the beasts' savage aura.
Mottled starlight fell from the night sky into a narrow valley.
A bonfire burned brightly. Su Bo propped up a massive tree branch, ran it through the Triangular Rhinoceros Dragon's thigh, and set it over the flames to roast.
After three straight days of escaping death, without food or water, he was nearly burned out.
He did not know whether his luck was truly that bad, but no matter which direction he ran, he encountered powerful beasts with auras terrifying enough to make one shudder.
In any case, he had never encountered a beast with an aura even slightly weaker than his own, or one on the same level as him.
The weakest one...
Was tonight's dinner!
Under the flames' roasting, the Triangular Rhinoceros Dragon's meat gleamed with golden oil. Once it was cooked through, Su Bo grabbed it and began wolfing it down.
For three days, he had been too busy fleeing for his life to eat much of anything.
Only a martial artist's physique could withstand such depletion. Otherwise, he would have long since become beast droppings.
After eating and drinking his fill...
"Say, was the principal fooling me?" Su Bo looked toward the pitch-black night sky, where not even a trace of starlight could be seen.
Without the bonfire, even with his martial artist's strength, he could only see a little over ten meters into the darkness.
At such a distance...
If a powerful beast truly launched a surprise attack, it would be very difficult to react in time.
Fortunately, his three days in the wilderness and forest had not been wasted. After trying several times, he discovered that lighting a bonfire would not draw the attention of beasts.
Otherwise, he would not have dared to roast meat like this.
On the spacecraft, Situ Ting had said that he was not the only one training on Beast Planet. There were also gifted prodigies from other great cities on Red River Star.
The earliest of those gifted prodigies to enter Beast Planet had already been training here for around four or five months.
Among them, the strongest had already broken through the two barriers of sinew and bone, and organs and entrails, entering the sixth or seventh refinement.
Yet over the past three days, as he fled east and west, he had crossed at least a hundred li through this wilderness and forest. Let alone meeting a person—
He had not even found the slightest trace of human activity.
Either Beast Planet was simply too vast, and he had landed somewhere remote where he would not encounter anyone else for the time being.
Or Situ Ting had been outright pulling his leg!
After pondering for a while, Su Bo cast the matter aside. Whether there were people or not could wait. First, he had to survive in this damned place.
This would not do...
The vital essence contained in the Triangular Rhinoceros Dragon's flesh was too immense; it was practically about to overflow.
Su Bo sat on the ground, his body curled and crouched into the form of Bixi. He completely changed his stance art, no longer cultivating with the stance of the Coiling Dragon Stance.
Having perfected his stance art, he no longer needed to remain bound to any fixed form of stance.
And with Bixi Divine Intent empowering him...
As long as he wished to cultivate, any posture he assumed was Bixi!
