Background
Situ Ting became principal of Martial Arts No. 3 High School seven years before Su Bo’s enrollment. He overhauled the school’s cultivation system: establishing the Martial Cuisine Cafeteria, hiring the Level Two martial-cuisine chef Lin Bao, waiving martial-meal fees for martial-track students, and making his self-created Wind-Treading Step a foundational technique available to every student. Under his administration, Third High School became a leading school in Crimson Glow City and claimed first place in the martial academy entrance examinations for five consecutive years. 2 12
Before becoming a principal, Situ Ting was Yue Shan’s disciple and entered the Starry Sky Trial two months late at only the Second Tempering of the Fleshly Body Realm. Expected to die, he instead adapted to the trial, slew numerous prodigies—including descendants of Martial Alliance martial artists—and accumulated enough opportunities to rise rapidly. 22
Fifty years before the events surrounding Su Bo, Situ Ting broke through to the Divine Ability Realm before turning thirty. On the Ten Thousand Races Battlefield, he killed seven genius martial artists of hostile races in succession and received the Federation Second-Class Military Merit Medal. 46
The Martial Alliance later lured him into rebuilding his foundation with a top-tier martial art suited to his physique. Although the technique itself was genuine, its divine-intent requirement stalled his progress and caused his strength to decline from its former peak. 67
Personality
Situ Ting is fiercely protective of talented students and willing to spend his own limited resources on their development. He recognizes Su Bo’s potential immediately, supports him with cultivation facilities and rare materials, and takes personal risks to ensure Su Bo can gain opportunities beyond Red River Star. 2 7 14 21
He is blunt, domineering, and openly contemptuous of the Martial Alliance. When challenged over Su Bo’s participation in the Starry Sky Trial, he responds with threats rather than concessions; when Kong Ao arranges attacks against Su Bo, Situ Ting cripples him despite the political consequences. 21 46 48 49
His hostility toward the wider system is tied to Red River Star’s status as a Sin Star and martial wasteland. He wants its people to have the chance to escape the limitations imposed on them, though he does not force that burden onto Su Bo. 9
Abilities & Skills
Divine Ability Realm Combat
Situ Ting possesses three divine abilities that can merge into a blazing great sun. Within it manifests the outline of a Three-Legged Golden Crow, an aspect associated with his impending Dharma Manifestation breakthrough. 21
