"Monster alert, monster alert. According to the latest news, a monster has appeared near City M. The Hero Association has dispatched heroes to handle the situation. City M residents, please stay at home and do not go outside..."
"Finally, they're here!"
On the streets of City M, countless people heard the alarm and rushed towards nearby shelters. Only one man, wearing a black baseball cap that completely concealed his face, headed in the opposite direction.
"The alert didn't mention the monster's threat level. It shouldn't be high. Maybe this time I really can..."
Wu Di clenched his fists, quickening his pace. It had been two years since he transmigrated into the world of One-Punch Man. Unfortunately, despite being an S-Class Hero and a beloved idol to the public, he possessed no combat power whatsoever.
Enjoying honors that didn't belong to him daily, Wu Di deeply felt the original owner's yearning for strength. He trained desperately, even attempting Saitama's training regimen. Sadly, he didn't go bald, nor did he get stronger.
"Damn it, I transmigrated after getting electrocuted while playing a mobile game. Couldn't they at least give me a system?"
Wu Di grumbled. A moment later, he finally found traces of the monster, but three people had already arrived before him.
"Who are these three?"
Wu Di's eyes lit up. As an avid fan of One-Punch Man, he was very familiar with the trio before him.
Clad in red, wearing a black eye patch, with a smile symbol on his chest and waist, but always maintaining a poker face.
Smile Man, ranked 27th in A-Class. The other two were dressed identically to Smile Man, differing only in the weapons they used: Cool Man, ranked 69th in B-Class, and Angry Man, ranked 255th in C-Class.
"The Hero Association actually sent an A-Class, a B-Class, and a C-Class hero to handle this incident. Then the monster's threat level..."
Wu Di frowned. The Hero Association usually dispatched nearby heroes based on the monster's threat level. Monster threat levels were generally divided into five categories.
Wolf: A dangerous factor has appeared. Generally humanoid monsters, accompanied by minor incidents. They can usually only harm a single person or a few people, but the harm is not significant. Generally handled by C-Class heroes, or even ordinary people can resolve them themselves.
Tiger: A crisis causing heavy casualties. More threatening than Wolf-level, but still limited. B-Class and C-Class heroes have difficulty controlling them, and they can still be easily handled with hero cooperation.
Demon: A crisis that can cause a town's functions to cease or be destroyed. Demon-level monsters are no longer targets for ordinary heroes. They are usually directly assigned by the government to A-Class or S-Class heroes for suppression. Demon-level monsters are typically overlords, capable of fighting multiple A-Class heroes.
Dragon: A crisis that could destroy multiple towns. Dragon-level monsters are usually beings that have been active for many years and cannot be eliminated. They are generally huge in size or possess massive area-of-effect attacks. They require the joint efforts of S-Class heroes for suppression, while minimizing civilian casualties as much as possible.
God: A crisis that could lead to the extinction of humanity. Monsters of this level cannot be defined by conventional rules. They may no longer be confined to Earthly creatures, or even biological entities. Dragon-level monsters can be used to measure the destructive power of meteorites and to classify aliens (like Boros). It requires almost all S-Class heroes to be dispatched to quell the disaster.
"Brother, why are you guys here too? This guy is only Wolf-level."
C-Class Angry Man looked at Smile Man with confusion. He could easily handle a mere Wolf-level monster himself.
"We just finished subduing a Demon-level monster and came to check it out when we received the news."
"You can handle this guy yourself, but since it's Wolf-level, don't get careless."
Smile Man and Cool Man showed no intention of intervening, leaving the battlefield to Angry Man. The monster opposite them was already trembling with fear.
"Please, spare me..."
The monster resembled a large bean sprout, its face contorted in a terrified expression.
Thin Bean Sprout, Disaster Level: Wolf.
"Damn it, it's him!"
Hiding in the distance, Wu Di's heart sank upon seeing the monster. He remembered that this guy's threat level in the original work was...
"To catch up with my brothers' pace as soon as possible, I'll work hard! This time, I'll do it myself!"
"Go! Tornado Charge!"
Swish Angry Man's top, like an arrow loosed from a bowstring, shot straight towards Bean Sprout.
"Aaaah~"
A terrifying chill washed over him. Angry Man was instantly frozen in place. Smile Man and Cool Man, sensing the imminent danger, quickly dodged.
"Please forgive me, I must take your lives!"
Boom Smile Man swung his giant hammer, shattering the incoming ice with a shocked expression.
"This guy was playing weak! The intel was wrong, it's at least Demon-level!"
Swish As soon as Smile Man finished speaking, an intense chill froze them both in place, and they gradually lost consciousness.
Gulp Wu Di watched the three heroes get instantly killed, his legs trembling uncontrollably. He had thought that after two years of training, he would be brave enough to face monsters, but at this moment, he couldn't help but feel fear, his heart pounding violently.
Thump thump thump A huge rumbling sound echoed, quickly attracting Bean Sprout's attention.
"Hm? Are there other heroes? Please, don't kill me!"
Bean Sprout walked towards Wu Di's hiding spot with a playful smile on his face.
"Damn it, this guy is Dragon-level! What should I do? What do I do? Should I run..."
Wu Di was covered in cold sweat, instinctively wanting to flee, but his legs wouldn't obey.
"Screw it, I'll fight him!"
Tap tap tap Just as Wu Di made up his mind to face the Dragon-level monster head-on, footsteps sounded from afar.
"Hey! You did this, right? Freezing up this whole area, and now I can't ride my bike and I'm going to miss the sale!"
Bald cape. Seeing the newcomer, Wu Di's heart immediately settled.
"You've got it wrong. I'm just a passing monster. Please let me live."
Bean Sprout wore a fearful expression, while Saitama looked around in confusion.
"So who did this?"
"Freeze!"
With a boom, Saitama easily shattered the ice, and Bean Sprout's mouth fell open in shock.
"Hey, you froze my sweet potato!"
Saitama looked somewhat displeased. Bean Sprout no longer dared to be careless, and countless shards of ice attacked.
"Freeze! Freeze! Freeze!"
"Are you not listening to me?"
With a boom, Saitama threw a punch, and Bean Sprout was instantly split in two, lying on the ground.
"As expected of Teacher Saitama, just like in the original story."
After Saitama left, Wu Di slowly walked up to Bean Sprout, sighing to himself about when he could become as strong as Teacher Saitama.
However, what he didn't notice was that the three ice blocks behind him had already begun to crack.
"Please, spare me..."
"Holy crap! Get lost!"
Wu Di was startled by the sudden voice and kicked the dying Bean Sprout away. His hat fell off, revealing three terrifying scars on his face.
"Are... are you Mr. King?"
Smile Man's excited voice came from behind. Before Wu Di could explain, a prompt sounded in his mind.
"Ding~ Congratulations to the host for killing a Dragon-level monster, activating the Talent Fusion System!"
