Ant Nest

Song Wen raised a hand and swept it through the air. A blood-colored tentacle shot skyward and pierced into the rock overhead.

After burrowing several li into the rock, the tentacle was blocked by an impenetrable barrier and could advance no farther.

"There really is an array barrier." Song Wen's expression darkened.

"This Orchid Realm is where the Divine Blood Sect cultivated rare treasures. It is hardly strange for it to be protected by an array. If we wish to leave this place, there are only two ways. First, continue exploring the Orchid Realm and find a teleportation array leading out. Second, locate the protective array of the Orchid Realm, break the array, and then shatter the rock of the dome to leave."

After Blood Brow finished speaking, she turned to Lan Chen.

"Fellow Daoist Lan Chen, if you wish to obtain the Phantom Wing Butterfly, I fear you can only make a trip to the Gold-Eating Ants' nest."

Lan Chen asked doubtfully, "Why is that?"

"Do you not know that the Phantom Wing Butterfly is the Gold-Eating Ants' symbiotic demon beast?" Blood Brow said.

"A symbiotic demon beast?" Lan Chen sounded somewhat surprised. "Fellow Daoist Blood Brow, is that truly so?"

"Without a shred of falsehood. Phantom Wing Butterflies are poor at foraging and combat, but they excel at cultivating Five-Element Lingzhi. Gold-Eating Ant larvae most enjoy feeding on Five-Element Lingzhi."

Seeing Blood Brow speak with such certainty, Lan Chen no longer doubted her.

"Could the three of you accompany me to explore the Gold-Eating Ants' nest?"

"Lan Chen, I'll go with you." Mo Yexue spoke without hesitation.

"I'll go too! Fellow Daoist Lan Chen yielded the Withered Corpse Bamboo to Yinshuo and me. How could we not repay such a favor?" Blood Brow said.
