Background / History
Ye Bing was born into the Ye Family of the Ganchang Wasteland and forced into a marriage alliance with the Jiang Clan. She received limited cultivation resources there and developed her alchemy and talisman-making skills to support herself 1027.
She later tried to kill Jiang Yushan to avenge her child, but Jiang Lanruo stopped her. Injured while escaping, Ye Bing fell under Xiao Ying’s control and was forced to steal Five-Viscera Spiritwood from the Ye Family. The family issued a bounty for her capture, driving her to leave the Ganchang Wasteland for the Qicang Region 1004 1023 1026.
On Ice-Crystal Island in the Withered Marsh, Ye Bing refined the Void-Merging Origin-Breaking Pill on her second attempt. After advancing to Void Refinement, she continued pursuing revenge against Jiang Yushan 1109 1136 1137.
Centuries later, Ink-Robed Dao Lord demanded that the Ye Family hand Ye Bing over to him. She fled rather than submit; Moon-Covering Hall subsequently destroyed the family. Ye Bing held its attackers responsible and, with Song Wen’s help, killed the captives taken during their confrontation with the hall 1707 1710. She then crossed to the Eastern Profound Continent with Song Wen and joined Jade Spirit Palace as Wang Qiuyue’s disciple 1711 1810.

Ye Bing is guarded and capable of planning around stronger opponents. She concealed her residence from Song Wen while waiting for him at Green Oak Lake, and she approached Jin Xiuqi through a staged chance encounter to advance her plans against Jin Xun 1093 1072.
Her feelings toward the Ye Family remain conflicted. She resented its order to pursue and execute her, yet saved endangered clansmen and later blamed herself for the family’s destruction 1144 1145 1708.
