Li Nian's Multiversal Squad

"You're kidding..."

Li Nian stared in shock at the battered Watcher before him and Doctor Strange Supreme slowly emerging from the darkness, feeling as if he had somehow crossed into a fake Marvel Universe.

"Could it be that I crossed into the world of What If...?"

"An interesting one has arrived..."

Doctor Strange Supreme smiled wickedly. As he looked at Li Nian's body, his three eyes gleamed with scarlet light.

"You're not from this multiverse. How did you break through the walls to get here?"

Doctor Strange Supreme slowly approached Li Nian. Several enormous octopus tentacles extended from behind him—slimy, disgusting, ominous...

Li Nian unceremoniously dodged Doctor Strange Supreme's "intimate contact." He knew that although Doctor Strange Supreme had fallen into darkness, he was not truly a bad person, much less a villain. His actions were simply far too extreme.

"Who are you? Why did you bring me here? When can I go back?" Though he already knew their purpose, he still had to ask. It was necessary to go through the motions.

Li Nian feigned ignorance. Although he knew these two would not pose much danger to him for now, one could never be too cautious, especially around two such powerful beings.

Li Nian had thought Vision was already powerful enough, but compared to these two, he was nowhere close. The fact that Doctor Strange Supreme had survived a collapsing universe alone was enough to prove his strength.

Doctor Strange Supreme stared at Li Nian sinisterly, as though he had discovered some priceless treasure. As he spoke, he reached out to grab him.

Li Nian felt a slight itch on his forehead. With a small exertion of thought, a laser struck Doctor Strange Supreme's tentacle and forced him to stop.

Li Nian was equally surprised. He was facing the two of them in the state of his previous life, so how could he use Vision's abilities?

Li Nian said nothing, and neither did Doctor Strange Supreme. His brows merely lowered suddenly, as if he were plotting something unpleasant.

"Enough. We are allies now. Whatever you want to do, settle it yourselves after this is over..." The Watcher spoke up to interrupt them. Apparently, there was more than water inside that enormous head of his.

"We now face a terrifying enemy threatening the multiverse. He has already destroyed one universe and is continuously advancing toward others."

The Watcher turned to stare at Li Nian. "And that individual has an enormous connection to you."

"That individual is Ultron—an Ultron with a perfect body!"

Just as expected!

Li Nian's heart immediately sank. Even though he had been mentally prepared, he could not help feeling panicked.

"That... Ultron..." Li Nian murmured, suddenly freezing in place. He truly had no idea what to do.

In the original story, Natasha from Ultron's original universe and the Zola virus had been needed to contain Ultron, that massive threat. But if even the slightest mistake occurred, Ultron could slaughter other universes. With the power of all six Infinity Stones, even if a Celestial-level powerhouse acted personally, it would probably be useless...

The more Li Nian thought about it, the more speechless he became. Such an absurdly powerful guy had actually been successfully invaded by a tiny virus. Who would believe that was not plot armor?

"By your account, he has the power to destroy universes. Then what's the point of going to all this trouble to find reinforcements? Why not seek out the Celestials, or the top powerhouses from other universes? Why come looking for me?"

Li Nian was somewhat puzzled. He truly did not understand why the Watcher had not sought out the big shots of those universes to deal with the problem, instead insisting on finding a bunch of merely powerful people. Wouldn't that be far less efficient?

That question stumped the two of them. They exchanged a silent glance, neither speaking first.

Li Nian did not know if it was his imagination, but Doctor Strange Supreme's expression suddenly seemed even darker, while the Watcher's head seemed even bigger. Perhaps his words had choked them up...

"Everything... leaves traces... A beam of light will not stop midway. It will travel to its end..." The Watcher rambled on about a bunch of nonsense that Li Nian could not understand. Fortunately, Doctor Strange Supreme spoke in time and eased the awkward atmosphere.

"It is the arrangement of fate. You need not worry. We will ultimately prevail."

Sure enough, these two bastards had known all along that they would win in the end. After the Watcher assembled the multiversal squad, he never showed his face again, only coming out to inspect the bodies after Ultron had been defeated. What a sneaky old bastard!

While silently condemning the two for their fraudulent behavior that violated socialist principles, Li Nian could not help marveling at how terrifying they were.

"All right, it's time to assemble, everyone!" The Watcher waved his hand, and Li Nian immediately felt himself wrapped in a mysterious force. The next moment, he was teleported to some unknown universe.

"Ah~~~"

The moment Li Nian came to his senses, a familiar and obnoxious shout rang out beside his ears. It annoyed him so much that he instinctively covered his ears, only to discover that his ears were gone!

Li Nian looked himself over uncertainly. His appearance from his previous life had once again returned to Vision's form, and several visitors from other universes now stood beside him.

Captain Carter, Star-Lord T'Challa, King Killmonger, Gamora, Doctor Strange Supreme, and...

Li Nian lifted his gaze and looked at this idiotic Thor. He could not help comparing him to the Thor from his own universe, only to discover... they were both goofballs.

Doctor Strange Supreme explained where they were, easing everyone's tense nerves somewhat.

At this moment, the Watcher finally appeared.

"Why did you kidnap us and bring us here?" Captain Carter asked with a frown.

"To save the universe?" Gamora chimed in from the side.

"You are the last hope for saving all universes!"

Yeah, right! Li Nian silently sneered. In the entire multiverse, no one was better at fooling people than the Watcher. With just a few words, he tricked everyone into fighting to the death for him without any reward. Meanwhile, he and Doctor Strange Supreme could sit back and reap the benefits without lifting a finger. Even a ruthless landlord could not squeeze people as hard as you.

"All right, Loki!" After downing a mug of beer, the idiot Thor joked, "Stop making such boring jokes. I still need to find Jane and spend a wonderful night with her!"

The idiot Thor assumed it was one of Loki's pranks as he spoke and opened the bar's front door.

"Ah~~~"

The instant the door opened, the enormous pressure difference nearly sucked the idiot Thor out of the building. Fortunately, he grabbed the doorframe in time and avoided meeting the same fate as Loki in Thor: The Dark World.

The idiot Thor's hair whipped wildly in the wind. Like a goose about to be slaughtered, he screamed himself hoarse. Fortunately, he used Mjolnir to pull himself back inside.

He shut the door, his face full of lingering fear as he panted heavily.

Next, the Watcher explained the enemy they were about to face. Everyone listened with fear in their hearts.

"Maybe I can steal something from him!" Star-Lord T'Challa said eagerly. As the greatest adventurer in the universe, T'Challa surpassed Quill in many ways. Not only did he have an adventurous spirit, but he was also exceptionally intelligent. He looked even more like Star-Lord than the real Star-Lord.

"We believe the way to stop Ultron is to separate his body from the Stones."

"But Ultron could be hiding in some corner of the multiverse."

"Yes."

"He also has an army of robots behind him!"

"I'm afraid so."

"And he has six Infinity Stones installed in his body."

"She got to the point." Doctor Strange Supreme glanced at the Watcher beside him.

"I never said this mission would be easy!"

"This is practically suicide!" King Killmonger clutched his head and said indignantly. He did not believe that he and this group of freaks could defeat a god!

Li Nian watched the actions and expressions of these visitors from parallel universes and found that their personalities truly differed greatly from those of their counterparts in his own universe.

There was no need to mention Captain Carter—she was practically a female version of Captain America. T'Challa had more imaginative ideas, but most of them were genuinely reliable. This Gamora looked like someone not to be messed with, and she was even carrying Thanos's Tyrant's Twin Blades. She was probably another ridiculously powerful counterpart. King Killmonger's thoughts were darker, and he was more cunning and intelligent. He had plotted the deaths of Tony and T'Challa in their universe. As for Thor...

Li Nian looked at the blond, muscular man whose stomach was grumbling for food and felt speechless. No matter which universe he came from, Thor always looked like an idiot. But the one before him was an even bigger idiot.

After everyone had eaten and drunk their fill, they officially began discussing how to deal with Ultron.

"I don't think we need to make this so complicated!"

Just as everyone was deep in discussion, Li Nian stepped forward and spoke.

He did not want to dampen their enthusiasm, but the truth was that their methods would be completely useless. In the end, wouldn't they still have to rely on the virus Natasha brought?

"Who the hell are you?" When Thor saw his brilliant and mighty plan being rejected by the strange red-and-green fellow before him, he immediately retorted with a mocking laugh, looking every bit like an idiot.

"Then tell us your plan!" Thor's face and neck reddened from all the rebuttals. Mjolnir in his hand had already begun crackling with electricity. If Li Nian could not offer a good solution, he would let Mjolnir have some intimate contact with Li Nian's face.

"Simple. No matter how powerful he is, he's still just a program. In that case, just delete the program!"

The bar fell silent. They had been thinking about how to fight a god, yet had overlooked the fact that the god himself could be erased.

It was like being able to win by destroying the enemy base, yet choosing to start a team fight against an enemy with an overwhelming economic advantage. The end result would be nothing but a complete wipe, and then...

"What are we supposed to do? There isn't a single scientist here!" King Killmonger asked worriedly.

"Heh..." Li Nian chuckled. "You only need to protect me."

Li Nian left them in suspense. He really wanted to see their expressions when they saw Ultron's appearance. It would probably be quite entertaining!

"Watcher, send us to Ultron."
