The Daimyo narrowed his somewhat clouded eyes and carefully examined the contents of the contract.
The very first clause made his eyes widen as he shouted anxiously, "Forget the other resources—this much in mineral resources? Impossible! Absolutely impossible!"
"Without these resources, what will we use to make weapons and defend against Kirigakure?"
The Daimyo looked frantic, glaring furiously at Danzo.
The Raikage was somewhat baffled by the old man's sudden temper. Hadn't he been quite a kindly old fellow just moments ago?
He had originally thought the man was an honest fellow with a hot temper. Who would have thought this Daimyo was so shrewd?
Then again, without some brains, someone with no power could never become a Daimyo.
Danzo glanced at the head-scratching Raikage and rolled his eyes inwardly. The Daimyo meant that he could provide those mineral resources, but Konoha would need to help them deal with the Land of Water.
But how could that be possible?
Not to mention that the Land of Water had already accepted his benefits.
Besides, this was part of his plan to begin with. Since the Raikage liked war so much, and loved stealing other people's Bloodline Limits, he could go fight Kirigakure.
Kirigakure had quite a few clans with Bloodline Limits, and Obito just happened to be there, lurking in the shadows and controlling the Mizukage while fanning the flames.
A war between Kumogakure and Kirigakure was exactly what he wanted.
"Since the Daimyo is so stingy, then pretend I never proposed these Peace Talks."
Danzo said coldly, "I won't make things difficult for you. I will wait until you reach a safe location before mobilizing my forces to attack Kumogakure again. You can rest assured on that point."
"Rest assured, my ass!"
The Raikage spat, "You called us here for
