Medusa ruled the Snake-People Tribe while confined at peak Dou Emperor by the shackles of her tribe's bloodline. She sought a path to Dou Zong not for personal status alone, but to secure a better future and living environment for her people, whose position in the Tagor Desert was precarious 44 69.

After detecting Qin Hao's Green Lotus Core Flame, Medusa negotiated access to it in exchange for the Snake-People Tribe's high-grade spiritual herbs. Despite the near-fatal danger, she chose to use the Heavenly Flame to awaken her ancient bloodline, supported by Ice Spirit Cold Spring and Qin Hao's Heavenly King Heart-Protecting Pill 45 47.

The evolution nearly destroyed her body and left her original soul suppressed by the newborn soul of the Seven-Colored Heaven-Devouring Python. She entrusted herself to Qin Hao's care, allowing him to restore her soul source while the four great elders administered the tribe in her absence 46 48.
