Duno smiled, unconcerned by the slight provocation in Yi Chu's tone. "I noticed you long ago. You have always been searching for the source of spirituality, and it was you who triggered the God-Child's resonance."
Yi Chu immediately concluded that this man was not only connected to the God-Child, but might even be its creator. Yet he did not expose the matter outright. Once certain words were spoken, there would be no room left to turn back.
He said indifferently, "So what?"
Duno said, "Since you have crossed paths with the God-Child's power and come looking for me, you seek nothing more than an answer. I can give you that answer." At this point, he stopped speaking and merely looked at him.
Yi Chu stroked his chin, walked over to a large boulder ahead, and sat down on it. "I don't like people who beat around the bush, nor do I like handouts from on high. If you want to speak, then speak. If not, I'll leave. There is more than one road to the truth. Without you, I may not be unable to find it myself."
Duno gazed at him. His eyes suddenly became unfathomably deep. "Confidence is a good thing. I admire you. Your spiritual perception is rare. Why not join me?"
"What are the benefits?"
Yi Chu immediately asked.
Seeing him demand benefits so directly, Duno fell silent for a moment before saying meaningfully, "You will obtain what you desire."
Yi Chu said, "That's far too idealistic. It sounds like you said everything while saying nothing, and it makes you seem utterly insincere. Even the strange gods of the wilderness display their strength or bring out something tangible when recruiting people, rather than making empty promises."
Duno slowly said, "What sincerity do you want?"
