A thunderous rumble echoed from a pit in the wasteland. Two Crystal Jade Giants leapt out of the ground in panic and shot toward the high sky, but before they had flown far, two hammer-like beams of light surged up from below. The pair froze in midair and exploded into pieces.
Tian Jiang slowly rose from below and hovered in the air.
After a while, streaks of escaping light flashed one after another as more than ten cultivators flew up from below. One young cultivator cupped his fists and said, "Master, the Frostlanders below have been completely cleared out."
Tian Jiang looked at the pits below and shook his head. "These Frostlanders are truly like rats, everywhere you turn."

Tian Jiang said, "We have been out for a month. It is time to return and report to the Profound Rectifier. Why have Chen Han and the others not appeared yet?"
The disciple said, "Junior Brother Chen is sorting through the things left behind in the camp. He says there may yet be some useful clues to uncover. He should be out shortly."
Tian Jiang gave an acknowledgment. Over these past days, he had discovered that the Frostlander outposts sometimes communicated with one another. Their purge had begun so suddenly that some written records had not been destroyed in time. Those records could often lead them straight to several more outposts.
After everyone waited for half a quarter-hour, a streak of escaping light flew out from within, revealing a young cultivator. He came forward, cupped his fists, and eagerly produced an object wrapped in Heartlight Seal. "Master, I found this. When we rushed in, they had not yet had time to destroy it
