The black-clad Daoist flew all the way. Several days later, he left the Azure Yang Upper Continent, crossed the Desolate Ruins, and entered the Southern Region. Watching the clouds at the horizon, he changed direction from time to time until he finally arrived before a low hill.
Once there, he took out a talismanic token and released it. The token rose without wind, drifting and spinning lazily for a while before flying toward a certain spot.
The black-clad Daoist fixed his eyes on the talismanic token and followed after it. After traveling more than a hundred li, he saw it drop abruptly downward and vanish.
He looked down. There was nothing there but a flat, rough stretch of ground, yet he descended without the slightest hesitation. His body seemed to fall into melting snow, sinking underground without any obstruction.
What appeared before him was a vast hollow. Boundless Sha Qi coiled around the walls of the cavern, while the talismanic token floated ahead, as if waiting for him there.
Careful not to touch the Killing Intent, he followed the token onward.
After traveling an unknown distance, the space ahead suddenly opened up into a platform. He drifted down and planted his feet upon solid ground, landing within a cavern whose ceiling could not be seen. Waves of baleful clouds surged beneath his feet.
Straight ahead stood an enormous jade disk, some five zhang high. Chains gathered from around its rim and converged at its center, where, through the drifting baleful clouds, a bound figure could vaguely be seen.
From that figure flowed two rivers of Killing Intent, one black and one crimson, billowing outward and forming the boundless Killing Intent that swirled through this place.
Having arrived here, the talismanic token merely floated to one side and went no farther.
